La Kunos Simulazioni ha pubblicato su Facebook un breve comunicato per aggiornare gli utenti riguardo lo sviluppo del suo Assetto Corsa: il prossimo update del simulatore sarà disponibile il 18 Luglio e, come principale novità, porterà con sè la mitica Lotus 98T !

Hello AC followers, gradually we are getting closer to the release candidate version of Assetto Corsa: the next update should already include some changes to the graphics engine that will allow us to test the overall compatibility, although you might not see any new effects until the new algorithms will prove to be stable. More details will follow soon. The next update of Assetto Corsa Early Access is scheduled for 18th July and it should include the long awaited Lotus 98T. As already known, Assetto Corsa AI, utilizes the same physics model used by the player. With more than 1000 horse power and tons of downforce produced by this amazing grand prix car, the AI finds it very challenging keeping a proper racing line. The reasons will be clear to you too, when you will try staying on track while driving this unbelievably fast and “raw” racing car. We are working to improve AI interactions and hopefully we'll be able to include the Lotus 98T in next update and include AI enhancements to the sim.

Creata utilizzando molte delle tecniche adottate nella realizzazione delle Aston Martin di serie, fra le quali bozzetti a mano, modelli 3D e la creazione di una versione virtuale della vettura, la DP-100 offre un livello di dettaglio straordinario, con sospensioni perfettamente funzionanti ed elettronica allo stato dell'arte.

"La DP-100 ha rappresentato un progetto intenso ed emozionante per il team di Gaydon. Diverse caratteristiche, come la rivoluzionaria "aerodinamica attiva" della vettura, non hanno soltanto una funzione estetica, ma vanno a influire sul comportamento nel gioco. Come nel caso della CC100 Speedster Concept(*), molti degli elementi di design visibili nella DP-100, per esempio le sottili luci posteriori, potrebbero essere in futuro utilizzati sulle nostre auto sportive. Per questo non bisogna sottovalutare l'importanza di questo progetto".

"Quando mi sono trovato per la prima volta davanti a questa vettura, nella sede centrale della Aston Martin a Gaydon, nel Regno Unito, sono rimasto senza parola di fronte alla perfezione del progetto. L'audacia della proposta, con la prima Aston Martin con motore centrale in assoluto, è stata una vera sorpresa. La sua linea, pulita e di classe, trasmette forti emozioni: inoltre, offre il privilegio di un'anteprima sul futuro di Aston Martin, in modo talmente dettagliato da essere praticamente già pronta per la produzione".

Il nuovo racing game targato Codemasters sarà disponibile a partire da domani (già in preordine su Steam), vi segnalo quindi alcuni video di confronto molto interessanti: il primo paragona la Formula 3 reale con quella di GRID Autosport, sulla pista di Spa, mentre il secondo mette a confronto il tracciato del Red Bull Ring creato dai Codemasters con quello presente in Gran Turismo 6.

Sempre nell'ambito di questa collaborazione tra FIA e PDI, nel 2015 sarà inaugurato un campionato online FIA ufficiale, per consentire alla sterminata platea di giocatori di Gran Turismo e agli appassionati di motori in generale di avvicinarsi ancora di più al mondo dell'automobilismo reale.

"Questa innovativa collaborazione permetterà ai milioni di fan di Gran Turismo e degli sport motoristici di guidare su piste virtuali ancor più realistiche e dettagliate" dichiara Jean Todt, presidente della FIA. "Gran Turismo ha avuto il merito di creare molti nuovi appassionati di automobilismo. Grazie al contributo della FIA nello sviluppo del campionato online FIA, previsto per il 2015, Gran Turismo 6 offrirà un'esperienza più che mai simile alla controparte reale. In futuro, saremo orgogliosi di collaborare a stretto contatto con Polyphony Digital e Sony Computer Entertainment per rendere il mondo dei motori sempre più accessibile ai milioni di appassionati di automobilismo sportivo".

Kazunori Yamauchi, presidente di Polyphony Digital Inc. e creatore della serie di Gran Turismo, è altrettanto entusiasta: "Siamo incredibilmente orgogliosi che i contenuti di Gran Turismo 6 siano stati certificati ufficialmente da un organismo autorevole come la FIA.
