A phoenix has emerged from the ashes of one of the world’s most beloved driving sim studios: SimBin Studios, the Swedish-based simulation racing game maker has returned as Sector3 Studios, and with RaceRoom Racing Experience, it’s done it in style. While the former company folded following its bankruptcy, the reborn Sector3 builds on the foundations of what made the original studio such an acclaimed developer, with its attention to detail and passion for cars still in clear view and not in the rear mirror...

iRacing.com announced today it has signed an agreement with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest to develop a digital version of the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit for its award-winning online motorsports simulation service. iRacing’s team of nearly a dozen laser scanning technicians, photographers and artists recently completed their data-gathering work in France prior to the 83rd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
“It’s an honor to add Le Mans to the iRacing service,” said Steve Myers, Executive Vice President and Executive Producer at iRacing.com. “While we already offer many of the world’s most iconic race tracks, no sim racing service is complete without Le Mans.
The FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy has signed a new partnership with successful video game developer Codemasters in order for World RX to be featured in DiRT Rally. The game is now available on Steam Early Access. The first stage of this partnership will see the RX Supercars, tracks and racing modes implemented into DiRT Rally as part of Codemasters’ commitment to deliver regular content updates during the game’s Early Access phase on Steam.
Owners of the game will soon be able to drive a choice selection of these cars for themselves across three different game modes and experience the sheer speed, action, dynamism and performance that makes World RX one of the fastest growing motorsports in the world. As with previous updates, this new content will be available free of charge to existing owners. The tracks that have currently been built and included in the game are Holjes (Sweden) and Lydden Hill (Great Britain). The Hell circuit in Norway will be added in the near future.
DiRT Rally’s Lead Designer, Paul Coleman, explained: “From the outset we wanted DiRT Rally to be the ultimate off-road racer and to fulfil that vision we knew we had to include World RX. Since the launch in Early Access back in April we have continued to add new, diverse content to the game and World RX will add another dimension that will challenge even the most experienced players.”
At the World RX round in Sweden over the weekend, the Championship’s top drivers were able to test-drive virtual versions of the 600bhp RX Supercars that compete in the World Championship.
“Codemasters have done a brilliant job – the detail is very realistic and not far from real life,” explained Team Volkswagen Sweden’s Johan Kristoffersson, who is currently second in the overall World RX drivers’ standings. “As drivers, we always want to change the smallest things on our cars, but this version is very good. There are just a couple of tweaks that need to be made and then I think it will be just like driving the real thing. It’s by far the best rallycross game I have played.”
Martin Anayi, World RX Managing Director for IMG, concluded: “It was great to have the Codemasters team with us in Holjes over the weekend, which allowed us to showcase our new joint game venture to over 40,000 fans. Codemasters has worked exceptionally hard to get this project off the ground and it’s been encouraging to hear such positive feedback from our drivers after they had test-driven the game. We are very excited about our new collaboration with Codemasters and look forward to working with the team more closely to help develop the game further.”

Loeb Rally Evo in pre ordine con bonus

Milestone brings back the vintage atmosphere from ‘80s to ‘90s opening officially the pre-order for Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo, scheduled for release on October 2015 on Xbox One®, the all-in-one games and entertainment system, PlayStation®4 and Windows PC/Steam.
Two cars that have made the history, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb 1988 version, two exclusive DLCs and all the glamour of the ‘80s and ‘90s. The SLRE Pre-order arrives with the aim to burn the steering wheels of the Rally Players*. Starting from today, the pre-order is available on the official Pre-order page: sebastienloebrallyevo.com/pre-order/

While the ‘80s dance music was hot into the radio, the engine sound of the Peugeot 405 T16 PP was marking its own record (10:47.77) on the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, one of the most ambitious and difficult race ever.
The Peugeot 405 T16 Grand Raid as it was called was unveiled in 1988 and was in all respects a prototype. A new model was also introduced along with the Grand Raid for competing in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. This particular version was given some additional features that made it even more impressive. The engine, a turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder 600 hp, was inherited from the Peugeot 205 T16, but suitably powered with increased displacement. The car was lowered and the aerodynamics completely revised. Two large wings were mounted on the front and at the rear to maximize downforce, and a feature never before seen in a rally or hill climb was four-wheel steering. In the system, the rear wheels steered 1° to ¾ of steering wheel rotation, to a maximum of 3° rotation when the steering was at full lock.
The DLCs 1 and 2 – which include 1 car and 1 track PP’88 each – will be available for free for those who will pre-order a copy of Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO.
