Codemasters e Koch Media hanno annunciato oggi che F1™ 2018, il videogioco ufficiale della FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™ 2018, "immergerà i giocatori nel mondo della Formula 1® come mai prima d’ora". F1 2018 sarà pubblicato su PlayStation 4, Xbox One incusa Xbox One X e PC Windows (DVD e su Steam) in tutto il mondo venerdì 24 Agosto 2018, nel weekend del GRAN PREMIO DEL BELGIO 2018 di FORMULA 1 presso l’iconico circuito di Spa-Francorchamps.

“Siamo stati felicissimi del feedback che ha ricevuto l'acclamatissimo F1 2017 e siamo estremamente entusiasti di poter ulteriormente migliorare con una base così forte F1 2018", ha dichiarato Paul Jeal, F1 Franchise Director presso Codemasters. "Negli ultimi anni ci siamo impegnati molto con la nostra base di fan per capire cosa è importante per loro e non vediamo l'ora di svelare maggiori dettagli sulle funzionalità che i nostri fan apprezzeranno. La modalità carriera è stata ulteriormente ampliata per immergere i giocatori ancora più in profondità nel mondo di F1, con il ritorno di una caratteristica molto richiesta nel franchise. Stiamo anche aggiungendo altre auto classiche, ancora una volta ascoltando i nostri fan a proposito delle auto storiche di F1 che vorrebbero guidare virtualmente. Oltre a queste aggiunte, ci sono molti altri grandi miglioramenti che sveleremo prima del lancio del gioco. "

La stagione 2018 è iniziata in grande stile con le vittorie di Sebastian Vettel della Scuderia Ferrari al Gran Premio d'Australia e del Bahrain e di Daniel Ricciardo della Red Bull Racing in Cina. Lewis Hamilton ha poi vinto una gara emozionante e drammatica al Baku City Circuit in Azerbaijan e più recentemente è uscito nuovamente vittorioso nel Gran Premio di Spagna dello scorso weekend. La stagione 2018 vede anche il ritorno del Gran Premio di Francia per la prima volta dal 2008 sul circuito Paul Ricard, che ha ospitato il Gran Premio di Francia nel 1990. Anche il Gran Premio di Germania torna in Campionato dopo l'assenza dello scorso anno, con l'Hockenheimring che ospita la gara a luglio. La F1 2018 includerà tutte le squadre ufficiali, i piloti e i circuiti della stagione 2018.

SCS Software ha rilasciato un doppio aggiornamento per i suoi ottimi American Truck Simulator ed Euro Truck Simulator 2. L'update porta i due titoli alla versione 1.31, con varie migliorie ed aggiornamenti, comodamente spiegati nel trailer qui di seguito.

We are happy to give you official new updates for both our flagship truck sims, at last. Testing of this update wave took us longer than we had hoped, both internal tests and the open beta revealed a lot of areas requiring our attention before we could call the update done. There's quite a lot of new content and functionality for both games there, and we have run into some unexpected problems when things refused to work together.
 

Thumbs up to everyone who participated in the beta (for both of our games) and sent us his opinion and reported any issues. We would like to express our sincere thanks for all your help, bug reports, and general feedback, they were even more important and helpful than usual. After over a month full of testing, bug fixing, (and sometimes yelling and panicking), we're finally there. Update 1.31 is out for both of our games!

Sector3 Studios ha appena rilasciato un nuovo update per il suo RaceRoom Racing Experience. L'aggiornamento ci mette a disposizione come prima cosa la nuova AMG-Mercedes C-Klasse DTM 1995, necessaria per disputare la terza fase del torneo Mercedes-AMG Motorsport eRacing Competition 2018. Non finisce qui però, visto che l'aggiornamento apporta anche numerose migliorie e vario bugfixing al gioco, come potete notare dall'elenco qui di seguito.

Today's update adds the AMG-Mercedes C-Klasse DTM 1995 that you will be able to drive during round 3. The leaderboard qualifier opens 14th May 2018! The opening event took place a couple of days ago and featured intense racing! You can watch it on Mercedes-Benz' YouTube channel :

But it isn't all! Today we're also giving you a great list of modifications and new features that were among the most requested ones. Check this out:

Game:

• Pitstop menu now automatically confirms the requested changes upon entering the pitlane.
• Added an input meter graph showing steering and pedals axes and a keybinding to toggle it on/off from the HUD. It was made to also be working in replays and render no matter the camera. Position and scale of this new HUD element are up to user’s preferences through hud_options.xml. Default has been aligned with FFB meter.
• Added a “Fixed Setup” option to dedicated servers. When enabled, players are only allowed to modify the fuel and the brake pressure.
• Added support for upcoming “Fixed Setup” time attack competitions.
• Cockpit steering animation setting now has an extra option to render the steering wheel in a static position. Useful for cars featuring a data display on the steering wheel (ie. BMW M235i Racing or Formula cars)
• Added more data to Dedicated server results .json: StartPosition, StartPositionInClass were added to Session. Sector Times, PositionInClass and a boolean stating if the lap was valid or not were added to Lap.
• Updated to libcef 3.3282.1742 / Chromium 64.0.3282.119. Should help with certain crash reports and users reporting black screens.
• Game now waits a full minute for http requests and ghost uploads after some users reported failed upload of leaderboard entries.
• Changed so laps completed, invalid laps & best lap time statistics are not sent to the backend if cut track rules are disabled.
• Changed so driving at high speed on grass (ie: on the side of a straight) now triggers a yellow flag event.
• Changed so a car causing a yellow flag event is allowed to overtake other cars inside the yellow zone.
• Fixed LED’s of the Fanatec CSL Elite that were lighting up by group of 3 instead of 1 by 1.
• Fixed a bounce of the vehicle that could be observed with certain cars upon spawning on track.
• Fixed a case where some users would still receive penalties upon spawning on the starting grid.
• AI - Fixed a reported game crash related to DRS / PTP zones.
• AI - Fixed a case where AI would sometimes be caught pitting before the pitlane opened.
• AI - Added some variations to their tyre management to increase pitstop strategy differences.
• VR - Added a loop for VR initialization so it tries 3 times before returning failure. In case it's just a temporary error.
• VR - Fixed an issue where some system chat messages could not be seen (such as “user has joined the server” messages)
• VR - Fixed a reported game crash
• VR - Fixed an issue where the head position would move erratically when transiting to another racing session.
• Tweaks to the revlimiter code to get more of a dogtooth effect in the rpm.
• Tweaks to pitlane speed limiter to reduce some bouncing over the speed limit in certain cars. Just like in a real car, it is recommended to not apply full throttle while on limiter.
• Tweaks to the slow-down penalty messages to make it more explicit that the user has to give up a certain time advantage.

Il rilascio del programma è previsto a metà Maggio su PC e Android, mentre il 24 Maggio sarà disponibile anche via Steam.

This interactive program steps the user through the major areas of race car setup and tuning, asking simple questions about the behavior of the car and the user’s feel under specific conditions. Choosing from a menu of possible responses to the questions, the user describes the car and the program calculates possible setup changes accordingly. This approach means that even racers completely in-experienced with setup work can use this tool to improve their setup. The advice and interactive program is the product of more than two decades of research in auto racing and race car setup. SRT è un programma molto completo e potente, ma allo stesso tempo semplice ed intuitivo, per analizzare la telemetria di F1 2017 e Project CARS 2 (il supporto ad altri titoli arriverà a breve). La particolarità interessante di SRT è che funziona con il gioco su qualsiasi piattaforma, incluse quindi le consoles.
