Sarà disponibile da domani il nuovo aggiornamento di giugno di Gran Turismo Sport, che porta il gioco Polyphony alla versione 1.40: verranno aggiunti 5 nuove auto e il nuovo circuito Sardegna - Tracciato stradale!

2. Verrà aggiunto il circuito "Sardegna - Tracciato stradale".
Sardegna - Tracciato stradale
Lunghezza complessiva: 5.113 m. Cambio di quota: 38 metri. Numero di curve: 15. Rettilineo più lungo: 915 metri

È stato aggiunto un nuovo tracciato in Sardegna, un'isola italiana circondata dal mar Mediterraneo. Il circuito, che utilizza sezioni chiuse di strade pubbliche, è un tracciato altamente tecnico con lunghi rettilinei e strette curve. In particolare, i saliscendi della seconda metà del tracciato e i restringimenti della strada danno vita a corse tiratissime in cui le auto sfiorano i guardrail. Oltre a "Sardegna - Tracciato stradale A", il più lungo dei tre, sono inclusi anche la configurazione B da 3.893 metri e la C da 2.661 metri.

3. Sarà aggiunto un nuovo evento della GT League, aperto esclusivamente alla X2019 Competition.

Questa è una gara di resistenza per la Red Bull X2019 Competition.

Verranno aggiunti inoltre i seguenti nuovi round alla GT League:

In netto anticipo rispetto al solito, il team Studio 397 ha pubblicato il nuovo Roadmap Update del mese di Giugno: come prima cosa vengono segnalati gli imperdibili sconti estivi praticamente su tutti i contenuti, compresi quelli creati dai Reiza Studios (con la pista di Imola aggiornata), quindi c'è l'immancabile rilascio di una build aggiornata del software e viene annunciata la disponibilità della nuova monoposto Tatuus Formula 4 per il prossimo 27 Giugno!

We have three car packs on sale. The GT3 Power Pack and Endurance Pack are both 50% off, and the latest GT3 Challengers Pack has a 33% discount. Our first ever laser scanned track, that set a benchmark for future high quality tracks, Sebring, has a 30% discount.

The existing layouts, the classic, dangerous 1972 layout surrounded by nearby barriers and the current configuration, fully adapted to modern standards but still retaining a lot of the unique challenges that made it famous are now augmented by the 1988 layout that introduced a few chicanes and the subsequent 2001 layout with further modifications and chicanes. I think it’s fair to say that this track can now be adapted to suit a car of any age! Of course, you get both new layouts for free if you’ve already bought Imola before! Just check the workshop for updates.

Tatuus

We know we know, it’s been a little while…. open wheel fans have been sitting at the window longingly looking into the distance hoping for a sign.  But wait no more, we are pleased to once again give you ‘open wheel’ aficionados something to get your pulse ‘racing’ again. So start getting worked up right now, because the Tatuus pack arrival is imminent. This punchy bundle of six unique open wheel Tatuus cars that includes the Tatuus F.3 T318, the Tatuus MSV F3-016 (aka British F3), the Tatuus PM-18 (Pro Mazda), the Tatuus USF-17, Tatuus F4 T014, and the Tatuus FT-50,  will hit the ground wheels spinning on Thursday this week.

And one more thing, the Tatuus pack and all of it’s cars will be ‘free’ on the Steam workshop for everyone to enjoy!

New Build

We’ve also just released a new build with some fixes and new features in it.

VR Features

We basically added two new things. Support for “IPD” or “World Scale” adjustments, which allow the fine tuning of the distance between the eye cameras in game. Some headsets have hardware controls for this too, but due to popular demand from people in our community we added this as a software feature too. This adjustment allows changing stereo separation strength, which leads to different perception of VR image and in some cases increases comfort. We’ve added key bindings to increase, decrease or even reset the IPD so you can map those and make adjustments while sitting in the cockpit (don’t adjust and drive though!).

The second feature we added is for users of the Pimax (and possibly other similarly constructed headsets). It allows you to enable or disable a specific projection mode that respects the orientation of the displays in the headsets. On the Pimax they are canted. Setting this feature, that for now needs to be changed in the player.json text file, to “1” enables this new option for Pimax. As a side effect, rendering on Pimax becomes roughly 25% more efficient, which is a nice bonus.

Changes

Other, smaller changes are:

• We’ve fixed a problem with our RSS based news feed in the old launcher (news failed to show up at all, should be back again now).
• The showroom was not correctly showing up in VR, now it’s back to normal.
• Temporarily we’ve disabled the heat haze effect as it was rendering incorrectly. We are working on a proper fix, it will be back soon.
• We’ve made some improvements to how our light probes are updated when jumping around in a replay between different times of day.

Road to Le Mans

The sign up for the qualifying races is going into the final hours, deadline is 15:00 CEST on the 26th of June. With qualifying races held this weekend the current 78 entries will fight to get into the final 45 spots. Oreca, BMW, Corvette and Porsche will race side by side for the ultimate glory. We will be crowing the 2019 winners of Le Mans when the race ends Sunday, July 7th.
As mentioned this race features our Endurance pack, which is on sale now. There is practically no excuse to not enter this epic event. Try out our recently released Le Mans laser scanned track. It can’t get any better than this!

Torna a mostrarsi in un video di gameplay il nuovo FIA European Truck Racing Championship targato Bigben Games. Questa volta possiamo ammirare i possenti trucks in azione sulla  pista di Jarama. Vi ricordiamo che il gioco sarà disponibile nel mese di luglio.

Passato l'E3, durante il quale è stato uno dei racing game più giocati, la Codemasters ci fornisce finalmente i primi dettagli del suo prossimo GRID. Proprio in riferimento a quanto visto alla fiera di Los Angeles, la software house inglese ha spiegato che il modulo visto al centro dello schermo durante il gioco è il misuratore di Racecraft, che tiene traccia delle prestazioni e tendenze nelle gare ed è collegato alla progressione generale in GRID, ma volendo può essere disattivato.

Tutte le auto e gli eventi in GRID sono suddivisi in sette classi: Touring, Tuner, Stock, GT, Formula J, Prototipi e Speciale Gruppo 7. Le modalità per giocatore singolo in GRID sono giocabili offline. Volanti e pedaliere saranno supportati ufficialmente. Oggi vengono comunicate le prime 12 vetture che saranno presenti nel gioco:

La Codemasters ci spiega nel suo ultimo blog quali sono le 3 R del prossimo F1 2019: ovvero il rispetto, reputazione e rivalità, che fanno riferimento naturalmente alla modalità carriera del gioco.

It’s time to talk about the three Rs of F1® 2019: Respect, Reputation and Rivalry by delving into Career Mode and the F2™ Feeder Series.

Career Mode

Let’s start off with F1 2019’s Career Mode, shall we? F1 2019’s Career Mode has a number of changes, not least of which is the all-new F2 Feeder Series.

The Feeder Series is your route into F1. You’ll start by selecting an F2 team, after which you’ll be taken through a series of scenarios that will create the standout moments of your F2 season prior to your entry into F1.

Each scenario has an effect upon what follows later. Your overall performance will earn you Respect, which will have an impact on the contracts to you offered by the F1 teams at the start of the following F1 season. It’s not just Respect though, your contract offers will also be influenced by Reputation, and by picking a driver academy at the start of the game, you can choose which teams you want to earn bonus Reputation with over the course of the Feeder Series.

The scenarios have more than one outcome, for example, did you choose to let your faster teammate past or not? Your choices are key here. That’s not all; the Feeder Series also gives you a number of cutscenes that allow these choices to play out via your interactions with the game’s new characters: Lukas Weber, your teammate, and Devon Butler, your closest rival.

Here’s the thing: the choices you make are remembered by the game, and can continue to inform the kinds of questions asked by the press not just during the Feeder Series, but throughout your career in F1. The range of questions the press can ask has also been expanded beyond those in F1 2018. And it’s not just the reporters – the commentators will also remember the events of the Feeder Series and refer to them when discussing you and your F2 rivals.

Of course, these relationships aren’t just one way, either. Lukas and Devon also answer questions from the press, and you’ll regularly receive transcripts of their interviews so you can see what they’re saying about you – or about the other official drivers on the grid, with whom (like you) Lukas and Devon can form rivalries of their own.

This brings us onto the rivalry system. To start, selecting Devon and Lukas as a rival will award you with bonus Respect, making them an often attractive (but never mandatory) option when choosing with whom to pursue a bitter grudge or a sporting rivalry. Not only that, whoever you have as rivals (whether Devon/Lukas or any of the official drivers), those characters will now feature at the invitational events between race weekends, where they represent bonus objectives and an opportunity to score some extra Respect.

Perhaps most importantly of all, Lukas and Devon aren’t locked to a specific team. They’ll start in teams similar to your own in terms of performance, but beyond that they’re able to pursue contracts with any team on the grid, just as you can. In this way they represent a new challenge – drivers that can move up through the teams and challenge you in a race to the top and the ultimate accolade: Driver’s Champion!

And all of this, of course, takes place against the backdrop of the 2019 championship: all the drivers, all the cars, all the teams, all the tracks. New handling. New tyre classifications. New rules governing the point for the fastest lap. The best-looking graphics ever seen in a F1 game. And if you want to experience all of this without the dramatic elements, it’s possible to skip the Feeder Series entirely, jumping straight into F1 without the new characters and their associated gameplay systems.

Formula 2

Which leads us quite neatly into F2 itself. While F2 serves as the Feeder Series introduction to F1 2019’s Career Mode, there’s much more to it than that.

Not only will you be able to experience the Feeder Series in F1 2019’s Career Mode, you’ll be able to dive into the official FIA FORMULA 2™ 2018 CHAMPIONSHIP via the game’s Championships mode. Here you’ll be able to pick an official F2 driver and make your way through every event in the F2 calendar, aiming to become the F2 2018 drivers’ champion! Beyond that, Championships mode will also include a number of other F2-themed championships for you to tackle.

Similarly, F2 will also be available in Grand Prix mode, where you’ll be able to take the F2 cars out onto not just the official FORMULA 2 tracks, but the entire range of tracks available in F1® 2019.

Grand Prix mode offers you the opportunity to play with the a full suite of gameplay options, and it’s here where you can clearly see the level of fidelity to which FORMULA 2 has been realised throughout the game.

F2 offers players a brand new driving experience, and delivers a number of differences that make it distinct from FORMULA 1, including:

• The weekend structure differs from F1. It has just a single practice session compared to F1’s 3x sessions. Secondly, instead of a single race it has two races each weekend: a longer “feature” race (with a mandatory pit stop) and a shorter “sprint” race the following day.
• While the grid for the feature race is defined by qualifying, the sprint race is formed from the previous race’s finishing order, but with the top 8 drivers being reversed.
• The points scoring is also different, with bonuses being awarded for pole position in qualifying, and for achieving the fastest lap in each of the two races.
  There are countless other details included in terms of the sport experience and presentation – pit crews, broadcast elements, and of course the inclusion of official F2 commentators Alex Jacques and Davide Valsecchi.

F2 is also available in Time Trial mode, with all new F2 leaderboards for you to battle over.

But that’s not it for F2! The full 2019 FORMULA 2 roster, including new drivers such as Mick Schumacher, Callum Ilott and Tatiana Calderón, will be added to the game as a free update post-launch – this won’t only add the drivers, but also the teams and the cars as well. This isn’t this only update we’ll be adding though, as we’ll also be bringing F2 content into multiplayer post-launch too.

There’s no doubt about it – if you’re a fan of FORMULA 2 then F1® 2019 is the game you’ve been waiting for. And if you’ve yet to experience the thrills of F2, this is the perfect time to dive in.
