		<p>
			Greetings everyone - we´re in November now, and into what promises to be a very exciting month for Automobilista 2!<br><br>
			First things first - considering we ended up skipping the October Development Update and the fact there´s just way too much to cover this month in a single article , we´re going to do things slightly different this month by breaking down this November Update into two parts - this is part one, part two should be published on November 19th.<br><br>
			Let´s get on it:<br><br><u><strong>Volkswagen TSI Cup by Acelerados coming to Automobilista 2! </strong></u>
		</p>

		<p>
			<u><strong><img alt="038-jpg.17718" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="75.08" height="562" width="1000" src="https://forum.reizastudios.com/attachments/038-jpg.17718/"></strong></u><br><br>
			By now most of you will have heard the big news about a project we alluded to a couple of months ago, and we couldn´t be happier to be finally announcing our collaboration with Volkswagen Brasil alongside the good people from Acelerados to bring you the VW TSI Cup by Acelerados to Automobilista 2.<br><br>
			For those not familiar with the show, Acelerados is an internet-born TV show dedicated to cars and driving them fast, in a similar mould to the classic Top Gear - the essence of the show is taking a bunch of cars to the Velo Città track in Brazil where they have a pro driver (usually Rubens Barrichello who is also one of the presenters) to drive the wheels off of it and discuss its qualities (or lack thereof).<br><br>
			Acelerados and Volkswagen came up with the idea for a game that realistically reproduced the experience the presenters have on the show to give people the chance to perform hot laps with some of the VW models currently available in the Brazilian market and eventually use that base to promote an official E-Sports competition.<br><br>
			We were approached to develop the sim but since all our focus and resources currently dedicated to developing Automobilista 2, the only way we could take on that challenge was if we could somehow find a way for the VW-Acelerados project to merge and complement AMS2.<br><br>
			That we did, so effectively what you will be getting to begin with is a free Automobilista 2 demo including the VW Polo &amp; its sedan variant Virtus in two specifications each (1.0 TSI &amp; 1.4 GTS), along with Autódromo Velo Città, featuring mostly the same game modes except Championship and Multiplayer - that´s where it begins, what comes next and what it leads to is not to be spoiled in this Dev Update
		</p>

		<p>
			<img alt="040-jpg.17717" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="75.08" height="562" width="1000" src="https://forum.reizastudios.com/attachments/040-jpg.17717/"><br><br>
			The cars naturally will also be added to the full game as free additional content, albeit there will most likely be a few days in between the release of the Acelerados demo and the main game update that will include these cars.<br><br>
			Both of which will certainly take place this month however and we´re very excited for it, as not only the cars will help fill the still-unexplored niche of regular road cars in the game but also for the potential it has for promoting the game and sim racing in general to a wider audience in Brazil.<br><br>
			Developing the cars for AMS2 with the collaboration and input from Volkswagen engineers along with the Acelerados guys has likewise being a fantastic experience, with no shortage of access to data as well as the cars themselves.<br><br>
			I even got to put one of them through its paces for a few laps at the Velo Città, and such direct experience is always worth some insights! The car is impressively stable on a race track for a popular road car and a peach to drive:

			</div>
		</div>

		<p>
			<br>
			In fact getting some real experience jumping into some of the cars reproduced in AMS2 (including a few of the more racey ones ) and collect more such insights is certainly something I intend to do more of in 2022 as opportunities arise - watch this space, and watch out for the VW TSI Cup!<br><br><u><strong>Big Update Incoming!</strong></u><br>
			You´ll probably also have already heard mentions of our plans for a major Automobilista 2 update later this month - and it is indeed a big one!<br><br>
			There is a lot we are currently working to cover in one go, and with many new features still in development or going through its final licensing hurdles the definitive list of incoming goodies for this release is still fairly fluid, to the extent we can´t get into too many specifics just yet - in fact given the dimensions of the changes and the amount of new content it´s fair to expect the big November update to get split into several updates wrapping up our 2021 progress for AMS2, to be delivered in parts through November and into the early weeks of December as we finalize these new features and finalise pending licensing arrangements.
		</p>

		<p>
			<img alt="029-jpg.17722" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="75.08" height="562" width="1000" src="https://forum.reizastudios.com/attachments/029-jpg.17722/"><br><br>
			Let´s start with some early wins already in the bag - one of which is another comprehensive physics update covering all areas that should at least match the step we made earlier this year with the v1.2 update - a progress that we have since gradually complemented by various incremental developments leading up to this new leap.<br><br>
			We have discussed before how even though the Madness physics models of aerodynamics, suspension and chassis used in AMS2 pretty much match 1:1 with pMotor engine of AMS1 with which it shares some common DNA, the tire and driveline models in the Madness physics engine were a complete departure from what we had been using in AMS1, substantially more complex and thus challenging to get a full grasp on - but that in turn also ultimately provides us with bigger potential for a more realistic &amp; engaging driving experience.<br><br>
			These two components of the physics engine have been the focus of most of our attention on the physics side of things and also the sources of most of our headaches - and with so much to learn in these fairly intrinsic models, we have since the beginning of AMS2 development been opting to focus on the essentials elements of those models in order to deliver a satisfactory driving experience which related to what we had delivered before in AMS1.<br><br>
			With that goal if not yet achieved already well within reach, it was time to flex the muscles of the engine a bit more and begin delving into other substantial resources these physics models offer that hadn’t up to now been fully exploited: features ranging from a variety of tire damage components to transmission elasticity will feature to one degree or another in our November build, and thanks to the support and input of some intrepid internal testers we have not only been capable of making quick progress exploring these new resources but in the process also gain some valuable handling improvements, the most notable of which to the differential model on which is we have now pretty much eliminated the “sticky diff” syndrome some cars still suffered from to one degree or another.<br><br>
			Coupled with the improvements being gradually implemented to the various tires in recent updates which in turn will also be expanded on for the upcoming release, the internal feedback so far hints at something pretty sublime taking shape, and while further development and refinements will always continue to be in order, it´s fair to expect AMS2 to deliver a noticeable progress on this front by the end of this month.<br><br>
			All these changes do have some setup implications so in addition to that a revision of default setups is also in progress, and with that a fresh setup reset by deleting your local setup folder also be in order - hopefully a small price to pay and it will lead to some improved setup baselines in the process as well.<br><br><u><strong>AI Development &amp; AI modding support</strong></u><br>
			AI continues to be a front in constant developments and we have made some furtber good progress in this department as well.<br><br>
			AI calibration has remained a moving target with so many car-track combos in the game and their ongoing physics development, but we expect to cover some good ground towards that target by the end of the month - thanks once again to the input of our internal testers who have gone beyond the call of duty assembling a comprehensive spreadsheet to catalogue AI performance discrepancies in pretty much every car / track combo offered in AMS2, which is proving invaluable in this calibration process, and will hopefully lead up to a much more consistent challenge vs the player requiring less fudging of the AI Strength setting going one combo to another.
		</p>

		<p>
			<img alt="025-2-jpg.17723" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="75.08" height="562" width="1000" src="https://forum.reizastudios.com/attachments/025-2-jpg.17723/"></p>

		<p>
			<br>
			Moreover, we are introducing support for users to mod AI driver performances and names to their taste so you´re not stuck with the usual native AI drivers, being able to actually customize drivers from each series with their own names, performance &amp; personality parameters and assign them to specific car liveries.<br><br>
			To begin with, users looking to perform these modifications will have to rely on the good old process of editing text files, which they will then be able to add in combo with livery car sets and share them with other users.<br><br>
			Other new features include the option to limit the number of new tire sets players have available to use in each event (similar to the feature we had already developed in AMS1), the driver profile page and the Beta release of the much anticipated Multiplayer Rating System - all these however topics for Part 2 of this dev update!
		</p>

		<p>
			<img alt="image_2021_11_05t18_13_25_714z-1-png.177" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="75.08" height="562" width="1000" src="https://forum.reizastudios.com/attachments/image_2021_11_05t18_13_25_714z-1-png.17716/"><br><br><br><u><strong>Laser Scanned Azure</strong></u><br><br>
			On the content front, we have a neat free development in the shape of a complete revamp to the Azure Circuit, with the mesh (the only one we re-used from Project Cars 2 with just a few modifications) now being completely redone with the aid of Laser Scan data. It´s a considerable upgrade which should feel very different from the original track!<br><br><u><strong>Racin USA Pt2 is Coming!</strong></u><br>
			Another eagerly expected release is the second part of our very popular Racin´ USA Pack, going further into the North American motorsports scene - this time focusing on faster flowint tracks and its single seater heritage.<br>
			As most of you familiar with our sims already will know, we do like to pay tribute to incredible race series, cars and tracks that perhaps haven´t been so much in evidence, either due to their local nature or because their hayday in this world having already come and gone a few decades ago, their awesomeness since fading from minds of many current race fans and sim racers. Sim racing offers an unique channel to bring these awesome machines and tracks back to life and to the awareness of racing fans and one of our goals in AMS2 is very much to deliver just that.<br>
			So with Pt2 we are taking the opportunity to mix some exciting &amp; famous American road circuits with a fairly exotic choice that probably will surprise many, along with an ensemble of 1990s Champ Cars from various seasons in that great decade for American single seater racing.<br>
			For myself, this is again a trip down memory lane as I´ve worked on many of these cars in and out over the last 15 years for modding projects, becoming some of my personal favorites!<br>
			The specifics of the pack we will share with you in part 2 of this dev update, but we couldn´t leave you all hanging without a small teaser - a cookie for whoever can guess the car-track combo previewed below
		</p>

			We are looking for artists to join our brilliant track team and help us produce trackside buildings &amp; objects for some very exciting circuits we will be producing in the near future.<br>
			Key requirements include low-poly modelling in 3DS Max (squeezing out the most of the most efficient poly &amp; texture count), texturing in Photoshop/Substance. Additionally, experience with CATrig animations, procedural texturing with Substance is welcome.<br>
			If you fit the bill and are interested in joining our team, please go ahead and send us an email with your CV and portfolio @ jobs@reizastudios.com - we´d love to hear from you!<br><br>
			That´s it for now - let´s catch up again in two weeks for Part 2 and even more exciting news!

	Continua la serie di video dietro le quinte di Gran Turismo 7 presentati da Kazunori Yamauchi. Il filmato di oggi è tutto dedicato a Scapes, la modalità fotografica del nuovo gioco di corse in esclusiva per PS5 e PS4. Dopo averci parlato dell'editor delle livree e delle funzionalità del Dualsense, Yamauchi oggi ci parla della sua grande passione per la fotografia.
</p>

<p>
	Scapes è la modalità fotografica di Gran Turismo 7, grazie alla quale è possibile fotografare liberamente le proprie auto in diversi punti di oltre 2.500 località sparse in ben 43 paesi differenti. Scapes promette risultati fotorealistici grazie all'utilizzo della tecnologia HDR e al raytracing, con tatto di effetti professionali e panning. Vi ricordiamo che Gran Turismo 7 sarà disponibile in esclusiva per PS5 e PS4 a partire dal 4 marzo 2022.

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Live For Speed si prepara ad una svolta epocale: uno degli sviluppatori ha infatti annunciato che presto arriverà il supporto alle mod.
</p>

<p>
	Il tutto è nato dalle mod "VOB", mod che cambiano solo la forma di un veicolo, ma visto che era possibile implementare un editor all'interno del gioco il team ha cominciato ad integrare il tutto lavorando ad un sistema di upload con download automatico una volta entrato in un server con delle mod attive.<br>
	Per creare una mod è possibile utilizzare l'editor interno o importare una mesh da un programma terzo come Blender, fare gli aggiustamenti necessari e applicare le texture dall'editor interno. E' anche possibile utilizzare un veicolo già esistente come punto di partenza e modificare la posizione delle ruote, le sospensioni, il motore e così via.
</p>

<p>
	Questo sistema però presenta delle restrizioni: le mod saranno disponibili solo per gli utenti che hanno una licenza S3, non saranno permessi nomi e loghi reali a meno che non ci sia un'autorizzazione da parte di chi detiene i diritti di nomi e loghi, non sarà permesso l'utilizzo di mesh convertite da altri giochi a meno che non ci sia un'autorizzazione da parte del creatore e ci saranno dei limiti sulle dimensioni per permettere un download rapido
</p>

<p>
	Il team ha già rilasciato <strong><a href="https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods" rel="external">una sezione</a> </strong>dove poter vedere le varie mod e ha anche rilasciato un breve trailer

<p>
	Polyphony Digital e Sony hanno pubblicato un nuovo video dietro le quinte di Gran Turismo 7. Siamo di nuovo in compagnia di Kazunori Yamauchi, che ci spiega tutto riguardo l'editor delle livree presente nel gioco, accompagnato come al solito con alcuni "assaggi" di gameplay della versione PS5 della nuova esclusiva PlayStation.
</p>

<p>
	Nel filmato Yamauchi spiega che le livree sono state utilizzate sulle auto da corsa sin dagli anni '70 e che sono rimaste impresse nelle memorie degli appassionati. Usare l'editor delle livree in Gran Turismo 7 a suo avviso trasforma le auto in una tela, che i giocatori possono utilizzare a proprio piacimento per esprimere la propria personalità.
</p>

<p>
	Nel filmato possiamo vedere l'editor per personalizzare vetture, con la possibilità di scegliere tra vari loghi, tra cui quelli Puma, Sparco e Porsche, da applicare poi sui nostri bolidi, scegliendo liberamente la posizione e le dimensioni. Gran Turismo 7 sarà disponibile in esclusiva per PS5 e PS4 a partire dal 4 marzo 2022.

<p>
	Forza Horizon 5 torna a mostrarsi, questa volta in maniera molto particolare attraverso uno spettacolare trailer live action, ovvero girato dal vivo con attori in carne e ossa, intitolato The Getaway Driver e che ci prepara al lancio del gioco, ormai distante poco più di una settimana. Il video ci trasporta nella piena atmosfera del Messico, dove quello che sembra essere un semplice autista si rivela essere un "Getaway Driver", come si definisce egli stesso, ovvero una sorta di artista della fuga e delle corse forsennate su ogni tipologia di tracciato, come viene mostrato nei tre minuti di filmato.
</p>

<p>
	La particolarità del video è che mischia scene girate dal vivo, ovvero riprese reali delle zone in cui si svolge l'azione, con parti di grafica del gioco, rendendo difficile discernere tra una cosa e l'altra come ulteriore conferma della qualità grafica raggiunta da Playground Games per il nuovo capitolo della serie. Forza Horizon 5 è in uscita per il 9 novembre 2021.

<p><img src="https://www.drivingitalia.net/uploads/monthly_2021_10/Slight-Mad-Studios-CEO-leaves-the-company.jpeg.9a4ec73d2f169e6f34efc6b5c515e16f.jpeg" /></p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Ian Bell, fondatore del team Slightly Mad Studios più di dieci anni fa, ha annunciato via Twitter che lascerà l'azienda: "è giunto il momento di farmi da parte", ha precisato.
</p>

<p>
	Gli ultimi due anni, dopo l'<strong><a href="https://www.drivingitalia.net/index.php?/forums/topic/80559-codemasters%C2%AE-si-prende-slightly-mad-studios/" rel="">acquisizione da parte di Codemasters</a></strong>, sono stati due anni difficili per Slightly Mad Studios. La terza puntata della saga Project CARS, insieme a un adattamento del gioco con licenza della serie di film Fast &amp; Furious, sono stati rilasciati nel 2020 ottenendo uno scarsissimo successo, con vendite molto limitate. Di recente, invece, lo sviluppo sulla versione mobile della serie Project CARS è stato interrotto.
</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">
	<img class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="49572" data-ratio="48.29" data-unique="6vhczzmaf" width="615" alt="ian bell.JPG" src="https://www.drivingitalia.net/uploads/monthly_2021_10/80122727_ianbell.JPG.b6ddf275b4fafa7812fa014c9a1e8541.JPG"></p>

<p>
	Slightly Mad Studios, sviluppatore nato nel 2009, è stato apprezzato in passato per il primo Project CARS, Need for Speed: Shift, Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends e Red Bull Air Race. Cosa può significare l'abbandono del CEO cosi repentino per il team? Probabilmente che la visione di Ian Bell sul futuro non coincideva più con quella dei "proprietari" Codemasters...
</p>

<p>
	Il distacco, certamente traumatico, è iniziato con molta probablità quando la serie Project CARS si è allontanata dalla modalità Community Assisted Racing Simulator, tanto cara ai fans, che sin dall'inizio l'avevano entusiasticamente sostenuta anche economicamente. Con la fuga di Bell, siamo convinti che la situazione non migliorerà per i fans del simracing, ma anzi andrà in una direzione sempre più "gaming", che evidentemente il buon Ian non gradiva.
</p>

<p>
	L'account Twitter di Bell al momento recita semplicemente "Free Entity. Fai attenzione a TherapyGlobal”. Chissà se Ian Bell, pur sempre un punto cardine del simracing mondiale - nel bene e nel male - tornerà in futuro con qualcosa di nuovo... E di SUO.
</p>

</p>

<p>
	Con leggero anticipo rispetto al solito Studio 397 ha rilasciato la <strong><a href="https://www.studio-397.com/2021/10/roadmap-update-october-2021/" rel="external">roadmap di Ottobre 2021</a></strong>: la roadmap di questo mese si concentra sul ritorno dei "driver label", le famose "etichette" che ci mostrano il nome di coloro che abbiamo davanti in pista, migliorate e con qualche feature interessante come la possibilità di vedere le penalità dei piloti che ci precedono. Oltre a ciò abbiamo anche il rilascio di una nuova build release candidate che verrà rilasciata pubblicamente molto presto per far spazio ad una nuova RC con qualche novità dal lato della fisica.
</p>

<p>
	Infine il team ci ricorda che sono iniziati i saldi di Halloween e da oggi fino al 1° Novembre rFactor 2 sarà scontato dell'80%: se non avete ancora il simulatore di Studio397 nella vostra libreria questo è il momento perfetto per acquistarlo a soli 6€!

		<p>
			Hello sim racers,
		</p>

		<p>
			Surprise! Yes, a little earlier than usual we at Studio 397 are pleased to present to you the very latest rFactor 2 Development Roadmap post for October!
		</p>

		<p>
			As we step into the final throws of the month of October, Christmas decorations are already starting to make their way into shops, and the usual seasonal adverts begin to slowly but surely make their presence known on the TV – none of which we at the Studio have had time to fully take in, as we’ve been working flat out on all things rFactor 2 for you to enjoy! OK, that’s an exaggeration, we have actually been out of the office occasionally, and juggling a work / life balance aside, we have managed to pull together quite a few goodies for the run-up to the end of the year – some of which we think will make many within our community very happy indeed…
		</p>

		<p>
			While we appreciate the last couple of months have been a little slower in terms of news than has become customary of late, I’m sure you can all appreciate that working on large projects like the current Le Mans Virtual Series alongside our normal development priorities can sometimes mean we need to prioritize our resources, coupled with having quite a few bigger pieces of work with longer lead times (more on those another day), it sometimes means we can’t talk much about what we are currently working on at the studio. While this is a shame, it is very much part of the development cycle of a live product like rFactor 2, and as we pride ourselves on our transparency within our growing community, it has certainly been a little frustrating for us these last couple of months having to keep most of our work under wraps from you all.
		</p>

		<p>
			That said, for a lot of the bulk of that work we need to ask you all to remain patient as we close in on those magical announcement dates, however not everything remains under wraps thankfully, which moves us nicely onto some of the topics of our latest development roadmap…
		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>Driver Labels Return – New and Improved!</strong>
		</p>

		<p>
			At last! Yes, we’ve heard you all loud and clear, and now is the time to finally reveal the much anticipated and often requested return of driver labels is right around the corner! We took the decision to remove this feature from rFactor 2 back when we originally released the current UI for the simulation, and although it has often been a debate around if these should indeed return or not in future, we couldn’t help but notice many of you out in the community have been very vocal about us needing to get these back in the simulation.
		</p>

		<p>
			While bringing them back was of course very important, especially to our Stock Car community members, we really didn’t want to simply re-enable the original basic version of driver labels, and so with a bit of time spent looking at how they can be made more aesthetically pleasing, and with new functionality, we are delighted with the current version in testing –  as can be seen on the previews above.
		</p>

		<p>
			Immediately you will notice the new version follows much more closely to our visual structure within rFactor 2 – benefitting from a new font and sizing format, plus the addition of fade characteristics and background shading. With this new version, we’ve also taken the opportunity to add driver penalties – should a driver or AI be in receipt of a DT or Stop &amp; Go penalty, this will now be shown with a visual representation on the driver label above the car!
		</p>

		<p>
			The newly refreshed driver labels will be made available as part of the upcoming Release Candidate build of rFactor 2 – enjoy!
		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>Steam Halloween Sale – Massive Savings</strong>
		</p>

		<p>
			Sale season begins! Over on Steam, many titles will be enjoying some nice discounts for the discerning gamers, and we at rFactor 2 are no different! Running from today until November 1st, the rFactor 2 base game will be available to purchase with an exceptional discount of 80%, meaning that depending on where you are buying from, you will be able to pick up rFactor 2 for as little as around 6 Euros! A bargain if we do say so ourselves!
		</p>

		<p>
			If you are not already part of the rFactor 2 community, head over to rFactor 2 on Steam and secure yourself a bargain!
		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>New Opt-Out Build and Release Candidate</strong>
		</p>

		<p>
			Earlier today, we deployed a brand-new Release Candidate update of rFactor 2 to the current RC build within Steam. This new update comes ahead of an anticipated deployment of our current Release Candidate to Opt-Out early next week. With RC to Opt-Out set to happen at the very early part of November, that means we are set to put together a brand new Release Candidate build that will of course include the above-mentioned return of Driver Labels, plus a couple of new physics features that we hope should provide some nice additional options for our community to enjoy. With that RC build right around the corner, we aren’t going to get into those details right now, we think we will save that bit of excitement for the release notes of the build when it deploys in the near future.
		</p>
