The first two racers that jumped out at us were a pair of F12003 games running inside F1 cars. The one we played was the 1998 Sauber, previously driven by Johnny Herbert. It has the engine missing of course and the active suspension, but everything else, including the gear box were still present. Due to some issues with 'Red Bull' the car was recently resprayed. Still, ex sponsors aside, we (and a member of the public every five minutes) played in a £250,000 car, re-engineered by Sony for it's gaming fans.

Ancora una preview pubblicata dal sito di Racesim Central, dedicata questa volta all'atteso World Rally Championship 3 per Playstation 2, che ha molto impressionato tutti i visitatori dell'ECTS londinese:

Since 1995 we finally had the technology (in the arcades at least) to transfer this sport to the digital realm. Every year since then, rallying at home has become ever more real and that seems set to continue this year. We'll have a review for you as soon as we are able.

It was obvious (on the Xbox at least) that extra attention has been paid to the vehicle models and the track backgrounds. The cars are more detailed and more reflective, with impressive lighting and particle effects used throughout. The tracks were as carefully crafted as ever and it appears that the texturing has certainly been given an overhaul. Once again, it seems there's nothing new here, but everything used in CMR3 has been given a spit and polish and seems to have a little more detail than previously.
