Dopo le voci più o meno ufficiose, le smentite altrettanto ufficiose e il successivo (e prolungato) silenzio, Sega (Europe) ha definitivamente confermato l'arrivo di OutRun 2 sulla console Microsoft.

Heading out of the pits and up the hill at Spa, you can already feel that this is something special, when you brake and turn into the 'chicane' at the pit exit for the first time. You can really feel the weight shift forward, and then to the left, and back to the right again, although the speed isn't high. Easing the throttle down for the exit, oops to much, the tail comes out faaaast, cold rear tyres fighting for grip, but a quick throttle lift and a little flick opposite with the wheel brings it back in line again. Full acceleration trough Kemmel and down to Les Combes - on a flying lap you hit the 280km/h mark and then brake hard just around 150m before the corner - when on your outlap you have to be careful for the first ½ lap or so...

Were it not for the slight graphical problems and irritating sound bugs, TOCA 2 could have proved to be an even better choice for PC racing fans than it was for the Xbox racing fans. Problems aside, however, TOCA 2 is still a deep and enjoyable racing title with more racing variety than you're likely to find anywhere else on the market today--and at a meager price tag to boot.

Well, this is a Work-in-progress demo, and therefore there are not many cars and tracks, and also the so important (well, at least for us LFS-drivers) Multiplayerpart is missing. There isnt any AI at that time of development too. We think, GTR will be a Top-Simulation, when coming out in late summer this year and will provide some great racing for us, but only judging from this early version with only two cars on one track, and the important multiplayer mode missing, it is too early to rate it properly.
