Sony ha già inserito nei suoi listini ufficiali (americani) Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast in versione PlayStation 2 e PSP, benché il gioco non sia mai stato confermato da Sega. La stessa fonte rivela che sarà presente un massiccio lato multiplayer che si traduce su PSP nel gioco in rete locale (e possibilmente via Internet) e su PlayStation 2 nel più apprezzato supporto multigiocatore online.

Benché siano menzionate unicamente le console Sony, altre notizie recenti "assicurano" che Outrun 2006 arriverà anche su Xbox. Curioso, ma ancora non interrotto da alcun annuncio, il severo no-comment della casa madre.

La Electronic Arts ha rilasciato la nuova patch ufficiale per il recente Need for Speed Most Wanted: questo update da 12MB aggiorna il gioco alla release 1.3, correggendo numerosi bugs e problemi vari, compreso il gioco in LAN.
