Diaz is supported by ISI ally GPLegacy International and has recently acknowledged training done in GPLegacy Simulator Systems which uses rFactor as the base software.

After his win in Mexico, Diaz was given a complete raceframe courtesy of GPLegacy International, ISI and Logitech. He has told the Mexican press it will help him win the Grand American Championship. After driving several simulator systems, Diaz said rFactor was the closest to real life and that rFactor helps him and his race engineer test setups for their real car before they go to each track. Diaz drove the car to victory with the GPLegacy sticker on his helmet, and sent the picture (above) to ISI as thanks for their support.

Diego Sartori of SimBin didn't want to steal the spotlight off of GTR2, but we did get a chance to talk about the team's next big project.

When it comes to genres, sims have arguably the toughest crowd. In fact, many argue that the audience's demands for replication instead of simulation have made the community of simmers nearly impossible to satisfy. Despite such obstacles, companies like SimBin have soldiered on and made some great games. Perhaps ironically, SimBin QA Officer Diego Sartori tells us that GTR 2, slated for release this summer on DVD-ROM, includes a Driving School mode for those who want to try a non-arcade racer but are intimidated by the difficulties of realistic high-speed driving...

We got behind the wheel of FlatOut 2 at the Nordic Game booth today to check out the additions to the high-speed racer. One of the things that the original FlatOut managed to provide was a ton of a fast paced race experience coupled with a healthy dose of destruction and hilarious ragdoll physics. As Jussi Laakkonen, the Business Development Director of Bugbear Entertainment stated, the developer applied a lot of what they learned from the previous title to help build the sequel.
