E' disponibile per Assetto Corsa la nuova versione aggiornata 2.0 del circuito di Misano Adriatico, intitolato a Marco Simoncelli. L'autore di questo sostanziale update, tale Emà!!!, ha utilizzato il 3D originale creato da Roberto Olivetti (con il suo consenso naturalmente), aggiungendo nuovi oggetti, tribune, pubblico, inquadrature TV, textures, per una resa grafica decisamente spettacolare, come potete vedere dalle immagini.

Non perdetevi quindi il rinnovato Misano World Circuit.

Il team Race Sim Studio ha rilasciato per Assetto Corsa una versione aggiornata del suo imperdibile GT Championship Pack, il progetto che ci permette di simulare le stagioni 2003/2004 del mitico campionato FIA GT, con le varie Gran Turismo che avevamo già imparato ad amare ai tempi dello storico GTR 2 dei Simbin. La nuova release del mod, che se non avete, potete acquistare con lo sconto del 50% per euro 6,25, include anche la Ferruccio 57 (ovvero la Ferrari 575 GTC), oltre a varie correzioni e migliorie per le già disponibili Ferrari 550, Lamborghini Murcielago, Saleen S7R, Lister Storm e Dodge Viper (anche queste naturalmente con nomi di fantasia).

Race Sim Studio ha inoltre rilasciato la nuova Hyperion 2020, vettura stock car da 750HP, che saprà rallegrare il Natale degli appassionati della serie Nascar americana. E' possibile acquistarla direttamente dallo shop per Euro 3,80.

L'anno 2000 viene ricordato come il primo del nuovo millennio, ma in tanti lo ricordano come l'anno zero del simracing, visto che proprio venti anni fa uscì, sotto etichetta Microprose, il Grand Prix 3 di Geoff Crammond, titolo mitico che, dopo il Grand Prix Legends dei Papyrus di due anni prima, consolidava definitivamente il genere della "simulazione di guida".

La stagione in cui è ambientato il gioco è quella del 1998 di Formula 1, con i relativi piloti, scuderie, circuiti e regolamenti. GP3 non differiva molto dal precedente Grand Prix 2, ma portava con sè una migliore grafica (sbalorditiva per i tempi!), la possibilità di cappottamento delle vetture e le condizioni meteorologiche variabili, pioggia inclusa. L'espansione uscita in seguito, praticamente il primo caso di mod a pagamento, chiamata Grand Prix 3 - 2000 Season, metteva a disposizione un ulteriore miglioramento grafico e la possibilità di utilizzare piloti, squadre e circuiti dalla stagione 2000 di Formula 1.

Satlab90 ha ben pensato di convertire le monoposto del glorioso titolo del programmatore inglese, realizzando per Assetto Corsa il Formula Grand Prix - Tribute to Geoff Crammond, uno spettacolare mod per il moderno simulatore Kunos, in grado di farci fare un tuffo nel passato della guida virtuale.

Formula Grand Prix is a generic Formula 1 © car which delivers over 800 bhp, with a 6-speed gearbox and a mid-high-downforce profile.
But what makes this mod "special" ? Well... the carshape, textures, performance, helmet, etc. are all based on the Grand Prix 3 game developed by Geoff Crammond and released by Microprose in 2000.
