Gli appassionati di rFactor attendevano da tempo notizie dal modding team ungherese degli RFT riguardo il nuovo mod dedicato alla stagione 2011 di Formula 1 che sta per concludersi ed i ragazzi magiari hanno preferito stupire tutti rilasciando direttamente la Demo Ufficiale del nuovo F1RFT 2011 Season ! Per commenti e discussioni in merito fate riferimento all'apposito topic del forum.

Il panorama modding di rFactor è immenso come sappiamo, ma fino ad ora mancava un progetto serio e curato dedicato al mondo del karting. Da oggi però vi consigliamo sicuramente di provare l'interessante Virtual Karting Mod, un progetto sviluppato da Michael Rossi che saprà darvi tutte le informazioni del caso sul nuovo forum ufficiale aperto qui su DrivingItalia.NET!

Analizzando i vari mod di kart su rfactor ho notato che avevano valori fisici irreali, peso di oltre 350 kg, wheelbase di 3 mt, motori con oltre 150 HP (chiaramente maggiorati per la massa notevole). Informandomi dagli esperti mi è stato detto che scendere sotto i 350 kg rendeva il kart instabile, ho cosi colto al balzo la sfida e mi sono messo all'opera. Il punto di partenza è stato l'ottimo mod. RIR KART 2010.

Devo ammettere che non è stato facile, infatti abbassando solo la massa, inerzia, il kart diventava instabile, iniziava a rimbalzare sull'asfalto... da qui ho iniziato a studiare la fisica completa dei mod di rfactor e sono finalmente riuscito ad avere una fisica stabile. Da questo ottimo risultato è nata l'idea di creare un gruppo di lavoro di appassionati kartisti, per perfezionare sempre più la fisica di un simulatore di kart, per riprodurre nel modo più fedele possibile le caratteristiche fisiche del kart, in modo che trasmetta il più possibile le emozioni del kart reale, cosi che possa forse anche diventare uno strumento di allenamento per i kartisti veri.

Il team Varjanta ha rilasciato la nuova versione beta 0.90 del suo ottimo F1 1982 Mod per rFactor: al momento la release attuale ci offre 11 teams e, pur non essendo ancora un progetto completo e definitivo, sa già dimostrare di essere un lavoro frutto di grande passione per la F1 del glorioso passato! Ok, guy´s, here´s finally the F1 1982 v.90 Public Beta for you.

It has been a lot of delays and we would have delayed this release for a week or two if it wasn´t so late in the season as the mod still are very FPS heavy due to the lack of LODs. That will however get rectified within a week or two as Luka has started to work on that, which means that you can expect a v.91 soon.

But as it´s so late in the season and you all need to get to know the cars before our League starts, here we go.

This F1 1982 mod contains 2 versions, the HE and the LE.

Each version has currently 11 teams but new teams/cars and other Updates will get added "along the way" before the release of the final F1 1982 HE- LE v.1.0. The mod also contains Sounds, Music, Movie and Talent files, 2 rFm´s and 2 separate UIData and the Grinding Tranny mod too.

A busy EnduRacers Modding Team has officialy unveiled the first information and wip shots of the second totally new car to be added in the Service Pack 2, the Oreca FLM09, challenger of the LMP Challenge class. As usual the car comes in all graphic configuration and with lot of real skins for it. This will allow a new category to be included in the mod. The screenshots features some cars from the ALMS and LMS championships, from the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

As announced, the Service Pack 2 will be the team last release on rFactor 1. The team is already in preparation for a possible future move on rFactor 2, and within this target we are currently looking for new talents in 2 important domains : the creation of CAR SOUNDS, and the creation of cars TEXTURES.
