Insidesimracing.tv presents an exclusive first look and review of the Thrustmaster TH8RS Shifter for the PC and the PS3. This stylish shifter is mostly made of metal and has gates that look like they are right out of a supercar. It is an 8 speed shifter that works as a stand alone device and even works with Gran Turismo when used with a T500RS wheel.

Superbly designed and constructed, the rigs quality is undoubted, the finish is the best I have yet seen on a centre spine rig. The layout and attention to detail is truly impressive, the overall quality, stability and features must rank this rig up at the top of the pile!....
This is what hurts an otherwise outstanding piece of simracing hardware! Without doubt, this kind of quality costs! The finish and construction are supreme but the cost is high, I guess you get what you pay for, but this price range puts it almost in direct competition with high end platform rigs.

Debuting with the CSR is a new set of pedals from Fanatec, the CSR Elite Pedals. Like the ClubSport Pedals that Fanatec is famous for, this cheaper version uses the famous load cell technology for the brake. This means that the brake pedal works based on the amount of foot pressure, like a real car, as opposed to the moving brake position used in Logitech and Thrustmaster products. Unlike the CSP's, the load cell adjusting dial now has markings, making it easy to see what level you've tuned them to.

Thomas (Fanatec): “I am proud that we are now working with another German premium car manufacturer who never licensed a racing wheel before. BMW not only makes one of the best cars in the world, the brand BMW is one of the most valuable brands worldwide. It is an honor to be selected to make a wheel rim for them.”
