Il nostro amico Greywolf torna a presentarci uno dei suoi mod hardware dedicati ai volanti: dopo quello molto apprezzato per il Logitech G27, oggi ci propone il nuovo mod estetico per il Thrustmaster T500, che nasce con l'obiettivo di renderlo un po' più piccolo e più aggressivo e piacevole alla vista.

Nel video qui sotto, la Fanatec ci mostra in azione il suo nuovo ClubSport Shifter: tester d'eccezione del cambio è Rene Rast, per tre volte campione nella Porsche Carrera Cup e vincitore di categoria GT nella Rolex 24 ore di Daytona. La DEM Racing Simulators, ormai nota azienda di San Marino specializzata in simulatori di guida professionali, ci presenta finalmente oggi la sua nuova pedaliera high tech, denominata DRS Pedals.

Finalmente e' nata la nuova DRS-Pedals, il periodo di test ha richiesto molto piu' tempo del previsto ma vi assicuro che ne e' valsa la pena! Abbiamo apportato molte migliorie sia a livello estetico che funzionale. DRS-Pedals nasce dalla giovane ma intensa esperienza della DEM Racing Simulators nel campo delle periferiche professionali. Abbiamo cercato di utilizzare gli input che abbiamo ottenuto analizzando pedaliere di ogni provenienza per cercare di ottenere la massima resa in un'unico prodotto che fa' della versatilita' il suo punto di forza.

DRS-Pedals e' composta da supporti completamente personalizzabili nella corsa e nell'inclinazione, passare da un'utilizzo GT ad un'utilizzo Formula richiedera' pochissimi minuti e il grado di personalizzazione sara' ai massimi livelli! La DRS-Pedals sara' ordinabile nella configurazione a 2 o 3 pedali, il pedale del freno in configurazione standard sara' dotato di una molla progressiva da 60kg di pressione.. a richiesta sara' possibile equipaggiarlo con differenti carichi. La DRS-Pedals in versione standard sara' fornita con due potenziometri P260 e la scheda di Bodnar a 12 bit che permette il collegamento al PC tramite cavo USB, su richiesta si puo' utilizzare il cavo originale seriale della pedaliera del G27 con i suoi potenziometri per lasciare la compatibilita' con la PS3. L'intera struttura in ferro 4mm e' tagliata al laser e la precisione dei componenti e' millimetrica. I primi esemplari verranno consegnati a partire da Maggio 2012.

Nuovo interessante articolo, questa volta realizzato dalla BBC, che ci dimostra ancora una volta quanto i simulatori di guida siano ormai considerati non solo utili ma indispensabili da piloti e teams di Formula 1: nell'occasione, Nico Rosberg ci parla del simulatore della scuderia Mercedes.

Rosberg: "For me personally, it's very useful, there's a lot of those strategic things I need to remember, like Kers boost. I need to boost in a very specific place, and so if I practise that it becomes instinct and I can move it out [of my head] and I have more space for other things, straight from the first lap when I get to Melbourne. It helps me get there quicker. And also new tracks - its very useful to help me learn them."
