Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3 in video

Dopo un paio di immagini misteriose ed i nuovi driver e firmware di ieri, ecco che oggi la Fanatec ci presenta ufficialmente in video la sua nuovissima pedaliera Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3. Per adesso non ci sono altre informazioni, se non il motto "More advanced than most real car pedal sets" e tutto quello che si riesce a scoprire dal promo trailer, che comunque illustra già quelle che saranno le caratteristiche del prodotto.
It was time for a major re-design for one of our most popular products and the result are the new ClubSport Pedals V3. Our target was to make ultra high-end pedals with features nobody else can offer and with the most advanced technology on the market. At the same time we wanted to keep the price low and affordable. The completely new and custom designed 90 kg load cell and other improvements will also increase the durability a lot. No need to buy spare load cells anymore.
All existing pre-orders of V2 in Europe and USA will be upgraded to V3 and the first products are already on the way to the warehouses. Full details will be revealed this week.

Oculus Rift presentato all'E3

Nel corso della conferenza ufficiale dedicata ad Oculus Rift, svoltasi ieri all'E3 di Los Angeles, è stata mostrata la versione definitiva dell'atteso visore per la realtà virtuale. Le principali caratteristiche per questo device sono la presenza di un mini-sensore da posizionare di fronte all'utente (nell'immagine in calce), un sistema audio totalmente integrato, intercambiabile con le proprie cuffie, grande leggerezza e comodità e persino gli utenti con occhiali da vista non avranno problemi ad indossare Oculus Rift senza alcun fastidio. Presentato anche un nuovo sistema di input, chiamato Oculus Touch, composto da due controller separati e wireless capaci di registrare anche alcuni semplici gesti e movimenti delle dita. Each wheel has been engineered with dual-motor force feedback to realistically simulate the feel of your car. Helical gearing ensures exceptionally smooth, quiet and precise steering action. Anti-backlash hardware keeps the wheel and pedal input tight, to maximize control. Improving on the G27 design, the G29 and G920 each include a separate pedal unit, that lets you comfortably brake, accelerate and change gears, just as you would in an actual car, and also allows you to maintain a more realistic body position for driving. The Driving Force Shifter, available as an optional add-on and sold separately, adds even more control with a six-speed gear selector and push-down reverse. All components can be mounted securely to desks or racing simulator chairs such as Playseat.

Seppur non ancora ufficialmente, è ormai accertato l'arrivo del nuovo volante Logitech G29, che sarà presentato probabilmente al prossimo E3 di Los Angeles. Da Amazon si è scoperto che il volante costerà 189 euro e non includerà il cambio. Qui di seguito il testo di presentazione, mentre oggi sono apparse le prime immagini.

Da anni aspettiamo il nuovo volante targato Logitech, per sostituire il glorioso G27. Come riportato oggi da Maxconsole, il momento per il nuovo Logitech G29 Driving Force sembra essere arrivato....

Oculus Rift arriva nel 2016

Un comunicato sul sito ufficiale ha annunciato che l'attesissima versione definitiva del visore Oculus Rift sarà in vendita nei negozi entro aprile 2016, con i pre ordini del prodotto che partiranno invece entro quest'anno. Ulteriori informazioni e dettagli, a cominciare dal prezzo, saranno resi noti nei prossimi giorni e sopratutto nella prossima fiera americana dell'E3 di Los Angeles. La finestra di lancio si riferisce esclusivamente al modello consumer, non alle nuove versioni del devkit. Tale modello, basato sul prototipo Crescent Bay, dovrebbe peraltro caratterizzarsi per una serie di evoluzioni applicate al display e al riconoscimento del movimento.
