The Virtual Racer X (VRX) is a racing simulation system. It is not actually a game system -- it's not even aimed at a specific gaming platform -- but it is the fanciest, and probably most expensive, peripheral out there. But to call it a peripheral seems to take away from the VRX. Think of it as an immersive personal environment for racing.

The only true complaint I have with this unit would be that it needs a toggle switch added to the unit in order to turn it off. I just don’t think a unit of this quality should require the user to unplug it from the back in order to rest the motor. All in all the Saitek R440 is a good product for the market that’s it’s intended for and in my opinion, it’s right on the money. I look for many new unique and intriguing products to come from Saitek in the not-so-distant future. The gaming world is wide open at this time and I think this company has the direction and vision to become a major player in the industry.

I was more than pleasantly surprised with the MOMO Racing Wheel. After using its older brother, the MOMO Force, I didn’t think a wheel could come close. I was wrong, as wrong as jumping the lights in a drag race. The MOMO Racing compared to its elder is only lacking in price and the luxurious look and feel. It would be like trying to decide between a Porsche and a ‘69 Camaro in mint condition, each is beautiful in its own way and both are a treat to own.
