Watch the 8 Hours of Bahrain, Live, on Traxion.GG – the opening round of the 2022-23 Le Mans Virtual Series. 40 cars, 24 LMP and 16 GTE, will duke it out for championship points with a $250,000 prize pool on the line. This season, there will be car manufacturer-backed squads from seven brands: Alpine, AMG, Brabham, BMW, Ferrari, Ford and Porsche entries, with the latter stepping up to the top LMP category for the first time.

This is alongside professional racing esports giants such as Team Redline, R8G Esports, Oracle Red Bull Racing and Williams Esports, plus team representation of real-world FIA WEC teams Floyd Vanwall, Project 1, ARC Bratislava, Prodrive and D’Station Racing. Following qualifying yesterday, the grid is set for an eight-hour strategic battle. This is the first round of a season that culminates in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual in January 2023.

Il campionato 2022 F1 Esports Series Pro accende i motori! I 10 team e 30 piloti si batteranno ancora una volta per i titoli nei prossimi mesi, a partire da settembre e concludendo a dicembre. Quest'anno vedrà l'introduzione di gare più lunghe del 50%, oltre a un giorno di gare aggiuntivo.

Sviluppato su 12 round, il Pro Championship di quest'anno sarà composto da quattro eventi, ciascuno contenente tre sessioni di qualificazione e gara in tre giorni separati. Ciò significa sei stream per evento, offrendo a fan e piloti più azione che mai. Oltre ai campionati, è in palio un enorme montepremi in denaro per la squadra e i piloti che accumulano più punti durante la stagione.

Tenuto dal mercoledì al venerdì, ogni evento presenterà tre stream di qualificazione (Twitch, YouTube), oltre a tre streaming completi di gare (Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, TV), con gare quest'anno fissate a una distanza del 50%, rispetto al 35% nel 2021. L'aumento della distanza al 50% introduce anche un elemento di competizione completamente nuovo, con l'apertura di una serie di opzioni strategiche.

Non si stava più nella scocca: gare, prove, trofei vanno per per dimenticare la noiosa estate ma quello che conta sono i punti del campionato in palio. Ed eccola che arriva la gara più spettacolare della prima fase della stagione nell’ovale più famoso del mondo. Daytona International Speedway. Un nome che da solo aumenta le pulsazioni di ogni pilota al mondo. Nuove guide, nuove livree, nuovo sito, il CIN per la stagione 2022/2023 si è rifatto il look e si lancia per la stagione ESPORTS più ricca della sua storia con un evento da non perdere. In pista saranno più di 40 i piloti che si giocheranno il titolo che vale una stagione.

Le regole per vincere? Sempre le stesse: prima di tutto il set in qualifica, tutti i piloti sono chiusi in meno di uno / due decimi, basta una imperfezione anche minima per mandare in fumo il giro e partire troppo dietro. Si, anche una buca presa male.

Superare è una impresa e da soli si può fare poco, serve gioco di squadra, serve coordinamento con team e avversari e serve sangue freddo ad ogni metro. Dettagli che qui più che in ogni altro speedway fanno la differenza. Il treno da prendere arriva prima o poi ma i giri sono tanti con la apprezzata novità dai traguardi intermedi che garantiranno punti e spettacolo anche nelle prime fasi di gara ma che saranno però anche più esposte al rischio di big one che potrebbe togliere dalla classifica qualche big. Un minimo tocco, un muretto, un bacino troppo enfatizzato del compagno di squadra dietro e la gara va a farsi benedire.

Lo sa bene Marco Iaffaldano, il favorito d’obbligo dopo gli ultimi due anni che lo hanno visto trionfare in Florida e che, dopo il titolo dello scorso anno, ha fatto svanire la maledizione di Daytona. Si diceva infatti che il vincitore della gara d’apertura non riuscisse mai a vincere i titolo finale ma Iaffa ha dimostrato che è possibile anche battere la superstizione con un buon set e una scia valida.

A proposito di scia, qui gli ABS ci avevano abituato a grandi exploit, Miccolis e Fabbri sono in cerca di punti per lanciarsi alla grande ma l’arrivo dei Breakless ha mischiato le carte in tavola come dimostra il clash della scorsa settimana con ben 4 piloti BKL nelle prime quattro posizioni. I Cinners favoriti alla vigilia sono proprio il campione Iaffaldano, Miccolis, Fabbri ma anche Cedrati e Bortolotti con Ugolotti pronto al colpaccio. Da tenere d’occhio la velocità di Loi rientrato nel campionato ovale e subito competitivo e la costanza di Blesio, il gentleman più veloce del web. Sorpresa di giornata? Beardsley apparso in gran forma nelle ultime uscite e a suo agio nel traffico dello spring break.

Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS travels to Hockenheim this weekend for its penultimate Endurance Cup round of the season. However, although the Fanatec Arena will also be in the German paddock, it’s at a virtual Suzuka where real-world Fanatec Esports GT Pro Series points can be won on Saturday night.

Hockenheim isn’t currently available in Assetto Corsa Competizione so a different venue is required for Round 4 of SRO’s sim racing series. And following a recent social media vote it’s Japan’s iconic figure-of-eight venue that has narrowly beaten Bathurst to a spot on the calendar.

Studio 397 annuncia oggi ufficialmente la nuova competizione esport Le Mans Virtual Cup 2022 che si svolgerà su rFactor 2. La Le Mans Virtual Cup è stata sviluppata insieme all'Automobile Club de l'Ouest come piattaforma per i simdrivers per partecipare a gare endurance di alto livello prima di ogni round dei principali eventi della Le Mans Virtual Series.

Composta da tre gare su alcuni dei migliori circuiti endurance che rFactor 2 ha da offrire, la Le Mans Virtual Cup è una fantastica opportunità per i piloti virtuali di gareggiare in una serie di eSport altamente organizzata professionalmente contro alcuni dei piloti più talentuosi. Returning in support of the main Le Mans Virtual Series championship, the Le Mans Virtual Cup has been designed as a platform for the rFactor 2 community to race at a world-class level in front of a live audience, with a view to earning a seat in the main 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual 24 at the end of the season. 

The series will run to a spec formula rule set, with the car of choice being the potent Ligier JS P320 LMP3, mirroring the real world Le Mans Cup Series. Each race will last for the duration of 45 minutes, with a single pit stop mandated by the series regulations. Cars will be raced as single driver entries, with hotlap qualification sessions taking place in advance of each of the three rounds of the series. 

The Le Mans Virtual Cup will be open to 30 drivers per split, per race – with a maximum of 10 splits allocated to each race event. The top split at each event will be broadcast live ahead of the Le Mans Virtual Series qualification sessions. 

How to Enter

Participation in the Le Mans Virtual Cup is simple – all you need is the rFactor 2 simulation and content, access to the internet and the desire to push yourself to the limits. 

Held within the rFactor 2 Competition System, prospective drivers will need to sign up for the Le Mans Virtual Cup event and register for the respective qualification sessions, as detailed in the calendar graphic below. Entry to the Le Mans Virtual Cup is free, providing you own the content for the series. Drivers will be required to set a hotlap time on the chosen track for that round, with the drivers then invited to participate in the race for championship points at the conclusion of the qualification process.
