Dopo una durissima fase di prequalifica che ha visto sfidarsi numerosi piloti virtuali sul filo dei decimi, per accaparrarsi i soli 5 posti disponibili aperti a tutti per la fase finale della Porsche eSport Carrera Cup - AK Invitational, sappiamo ora quali saranno i dieci protagonisti che, sicuramente, sapranno offrirci un grande spettacolo domani all'interno della Samsung Arena nelle tre gare virtuali, che saranno trasmesse in diretta con il commento di Matteo Bobbi, Renato Vigliotti e Ivan Nesta.

Ai 5 piloti invitati direttamente dall'organizzazione, ovvero Enzo Bonito (Team Redline), Giovanni De Salvo (Jean Alesi eSports Academy), Danilo Santoro (Samsung Morning Stars), Hany Alsabti e Kamil Franczak (Thrustmaster e-Sports), si sono aggiunti i qualificati Emanuele Petri, David Tonizza (Jean Alesi eSports Academy), Pierluca Amato (Musto Racing team), Fabio Diana e Corrado Ciriello (GTWR Carman Simulatori).

Le sfide virtuali si svolgeranno con la Porsche Carrera Cup di Assetto Corsa, sui circuiti di Imola, Vallelunga e Mugello, con un montepremi di 10mila euro complessivi, da dividere tra il vincitore (6000€), il secondo (3000€) ed il terzo classificato (1000€). L'evento partirà sabato 22 Dicembre alle ore 14,00 con la diretta su tutti i social AK Informatica e sul canale Twitch di Samsung Italia, con il commento di Matteo Bobbi, Renato Vigliotti e Ivan Nesta.

Dopo aver annunciato la Porsche iRacing World Championship Series, il team di iRacing alza ulteriormente la posta, annunciando per il 2019 la nuova eNASCAR PEAK Antifreeze iRacing Series, con un montepremi che arriva addirittura a $100,000 !

The eNASCAR PEAK Antifreeze iRacing Series is the longest-running official esports racing series. The updated prize pool represents more than a 500% increase from the previous year, making it one of the richest payouts in esports racing competition.

The 2019 season kicks off on February 12 at Daytona International Speedway and runs through October with the series champion receiving his or her championship trophy and check on stage during pre-race ceremonies at the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to celebrate the 10th season of the NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series with our partners at NASCAR and iRacing,” said Bryan Emrich, Chief Marketing Officer for Old World Industries. “We have a storied history in motorsports and over the past five years as title sponsor we have authentically engaged and connected with racing enthusiasts competing at the highest level of sim-racing. NASCAR’s commitment to the series is stronger than ever with Jusan Hamilton recently being named Series Director for the eNASCAR PEAK Antifreeze iRacing Series and the eNASCAR Ignite Series. Hamilton brings years of racing operations experience and is well placed to integrate the series even more within the NASCAR framework.

“NASCAR is putting a strong emphasis on esports and the increased prize money demonstrates how committed we are to the series,” added Hamilton. “The competition has continued to improve each of the past nine seasons and we expect the incentive to win a championship will be at an all-time high. I believe this will be the most competitive season in series history.”

Con un comunicato sul sito, il team di iRacing annuncia il nuovo torneo ufficiale Porsche iRacing World Championship Series, campionato in partnership con la casa di Stoccarda che godrà di un montepremi di ben $100,000. The official announcement of the Porsche iRacing World Championship Series took place at the Porsche Factory in Leipzig, Germany, at the Porsche SimRacing Summit. In attendance were sim racers, simracing industry leaders, and both Porsche and iRacing representatives. The Porsche SimRacing Summit is the culmination of an online racing competition where simracers qualified online through iRacing and earned invitations to attend the finals, where there is €30,000 on the line. 32 simracers are racing head-to-head for their share of the prize money.

“Porsche is more and more involved with eSports and racing simulations. Putting together a world championship like this one is important evidence of our increasing commitment to the sport,” comments Dr. Kjell Gruner, Vice President Marketing at Porsche.

Martedi 4 Dicembre, dal circuito del Paul Ricard prosegue con il sesto ed ultimo appuntamento la terza stagione del campionato Tatuus Challenge di DrivingItalia.NET. Sono oltre 50 i piloti iscritti che si sfideranno in pista, suddivisi su due diversi server, fra i quali non mancano nomi molto noti del panorama simracing, come Pasquali, Mazzetto, Santoro, Trancanelli, Longo, Cristiano, Grinka, Harris ed altri che, per ogni round del torneo, devono affrontare un'insidiosa fase hotlap per determinare la propria posizione sul server. Questa la classifica dei giri veloci, da notare che i primi piloti che occuperanno il server 1 sono racchiusi in poco più di 1 secondo!

Our most recent qualifier finished in November and we welcomed Numa Natali from Italy and Miguel Ballester from Spain. Four tenths separated them in qualifying for the semi-finals, but who will emerge fastest this week?

Over the course of the evening, these eight contestants will be whittled down to just three. One winner from each of the three competition streams – Logitech, Real Racing and Forza – will then go on to contest January’s finals alongside four independently qualified racers, whose path to the finals came via the rFactor 2, Atyaf eRacing, iRacing and HTC Vive qualifiers.

Our semi-finalists will be tested over a series of racing challenges, competing at legendary tracks in iconic McLaren machinery:

They begin on Real Racing 3, racing at Hockenheim in the 600LT. They then switch to rFactor 2, at Silverstone, driving 1993’s MP4-8 Formula 1 car. Then it’s Forza Motorsport 7, at the mighty Spa-Francorchamps circuit in the McLaren P1 GTR.

The semis will wind up with two further contests – at Monza, driving the 720S in Project Cars 2, then, finally, competing on iRacing, racing Austin’s Circuit of the Americas with the feisty 12C GT3 car.

Each race will last about 20 minutes, and the contestants will quickly switch from platform to platform, so there’ll be plenty of action to keep you on the edge of your seat all evening.
