Dopo l’anticipazione in un recente episodio di Insidesimracing, arriva oggi la conferma ufficiale dell’accordo fra iRacing.com e Classic Lotus Team per la riproduzione della leggendaria Lotus 49 all'interno di iRacing! Gli appassionati di simulazioni di guida con qualche annetto sulle spalle ricorderanno certamente Grand Prix Legends, il simulatore prodotto da Papyrus alla fine degli anni ’90 che ha lanciato definitivamente il fenomeno dell’online racing a livello planetario. Nulla di strano quindi, se, quasi quindici anni dopo, il buon Kaemmer (cofondatore di Papyrus e iRacing.com) ci vuole riproporre questa mitica vettura, che riporterà diversi simracer ai fasti di un tempo, almeno con la memoria. La monoposto sarà pronta "non prima della seconda metà del 2012", ma l'attesa sarà certamente assai dolce....

iRacing.com and Classic Team Lotus have announced plans to create a digital version of the renowned 1967 Lotus 49. This will be the second of the marque’s iconic Formula One cars available on iRacing, joining the 1978 World Championship-winning Lotus 79 which has been raced in the Classic Lotus Grand Prix Series since 2009.

“We’re honored to have the opportunity to build another great Formula One Lotus,” says Divina Galica, iRacing director of partner relations. “In addition to being among the most technically significant -- and successful – Formula One cars in history, the Lotus 49 embodies a truly golden age of Grand Prix racing. I have no doubt the members of iRacing will be positively thrilled at this news.”....

Arriva la versione 2.0 della Cronoscalata Iglesias - Sant'Angelo che Kicco ha rilasciato per rFactor e disponibile sul server di Driving Italia. Per GTR2 online i add-on Factory Five Coupe, una nuova conversione da GTL. Per F1 2011 sono online la Ferrari F150 e la HTR che ha gareggiato nel gran premio dell'India.

All physics are the default rFactor ones, except the tires.

I just added all weather tires and gave them a little bit more grip.

I've included also the default tires, so you can change them at any time, either by renaming the filenames or editing the tires entry in the E21.cas file.

The original mod has only one red driver's suit, so I added some other colors too. If you don't like any, just go into the Teams folder and delete the XXX_BODY.dds file (where XXX is the driver's name).
