Progettata da Ted Cutting e spinta da un motore Aston Martin 2943cc a sei cilindri in linea, la DBR1 divenne la prima Aston Martin ad aver vinto a Le Mans.

2009 Aston Martin DBR1-2
Costruita attenendosi alle regole per la classe prototipi LMP1, la DBR1-2 è un'auto da corsa ad abitacolo chiuso, con un motore V12 a 6 litri. La DBR1-2 non solo si comportò bene a Le Mans, ma aiutò la squadra a vincere di misura il Le Mans Series Championships nel 2009, al quale partecipavano assi come Darren Turner, Stefan Mücke e Tomas Enge.

In occasione del recente Simracing Expo, il team di iRacing ha fatto provare a fondo il nuovo e prossimo tracciato del Nürburgring Nordschleife a Dale Lomas, vero esperto del reale "Inferno Verde". Nel video qui sotto sono riassunte le impressioni di Dale, mentre vi ricordiamo che il circuito sarà disponibile a Novembre nel simulatore americano.

Il team Reiza ci mostra una video anteprima dei prossimi contenuti extra in arrivo per il suo Game Stock Car Extreme: si tratta della Mitsubishi Lancer Cup e del circuito di Velo Città. In occasione del SimRacing Expo, è stato possibile anche ammirare per la prima volta una gara Rallycross, anche questa molto attesa dagli appassionati.
The next upcoming addition to Stock Car Extreme is the officially licensed Mitsubishi Lancer Cup series, along with its official home - the Velo Cittá race track. Featuring 2 specs of race prepared Lancer Evos (the more conventional R with 300 HP, and the fully race-prepped RS with 340 HP), the Lancer Cup is dedicated for customer drivers and it adapts a "sit & drive" model, in which all cars are prepared to be identical and no setup adjustments are allowed. The Velo Cittá circuit is the main venue for the series - this brand new, charming track us located in Mogi Guaçu (100km from São Paulo), and is along with Interlagos and Curitiba, only the third FIA-homologated race track in Brazil. Both the Lancer R & Lancer RS are the first AWD cars in the simulator . The cars are notoriously stable, allowing the driver to focus on maximizing his lines and driving as fast as possible. Losing control with these cars is not easy, but as our test driver demonstrates towards the end of the video, in the right hands anything is possible

Il team Sector3 prosegue il lavoro di sviluppo sul suo apprezzato RaceRoom Racing Experience: in occasione del SimRacing Expo svoltosi al Nurburgring, sono state mostrati in anteprima due contenuti inediti di prossimo arrivo, come il tracciato del Nordschleife e la monoposto Formula RaceRoom (ovvero F1).

Con la chiusura dei cancelli della fiera del SimRacing Expo, svoltasi sul tracciato del Nurburgring in occasione della tappa tedesca del Blancpain GT, non potevano mancare i video di anteprima dedicati all'atteso circuito del Nordschleife in arrivo per iRacing. “I’m thrilled that iRacing will be adding the new Audi R8 LMS to its lineup,” said Vanthoor, who uses iRacing as part of his training regimen and will lend his expertise to the development of the virtual Audi. “I have my choice of simulation programs, but I find myself using iRacing 99% of the time. Their laser-scanned track surfaces are very accurate and all the landmarks and reference points are there as well. I’m sure iRacing will build the Audi R8 LMS with the same attention to detail. I helped in the development of the new R8 and so it will be interesting to have influenced the real and the digital version of the same car.”

Il team Sector3 ha annunciato con alcuni screenshots inediti ed un trailer, il rilascio per il suo RaceRoom Racing Experience dello spettacolare tracciato di Spa-Francorchamps. La pista belga è disponibile (per 549 vRP) in tre diverse configurazioni, con diverse posizioni del traguardo e della corsia box. Sempre Sector3 ha anche confermato che sarà presente al prossimo SimRacing Expo che si svolgerà al Nurburgring il prossimo fine settimana, organizzando uno speciale torneo dedicato al campionato ADAC.
