Codemasters ha appena annunciato l'arrivo per DiRT Rally 2.0, a partire dal 24 Marzo, del nuovo DLC denominato Colin McRae FLAT OUT Pack, che ci permetterà in pratica di rivivere i momenti più belli della carriera del grande campione scozzese, con nuove location, nuovi scenari e nuove vetture, come la mitica SUBARU Impreza S4 Rally.

The DiRT Rally 2.0 – Colin McRae: FLAT OUT Pack features new Scottish location Perth and Kinross with 12 routes, the SUBARU Impreza S4 Rally and SUBARU Legacy RS, and 40 scenarios spanning McRae’s legendary career. Dopo averci mostrato Bathurst, con un post su Facebook apparso da qualche minuto, ci vengono mostrati i primi screens di anteprima in game dedicati al circuito di Laguna Seca, in arrivo per Assetto Corsa Competizione, come parte del Intercontinental GT pack, primo DLC dedicato al simulatore ufficiale del campionato GT World Challenge (noto anche nel 2019 come campionato Blancpain GT).

Con un post su Facebook apparso da qualche minuto sulla pagina dell'Intercontinental GT Challenge, ci vengono mostrati alcuni nuovi screens in game dedicati al circuito di Bathurst, in arrivo per Assetto Corsa Competizione, come parte del Intercontinental GT pack, primo DLC dedicato al simulatore ufficiale del campionato GT World Challenge (noto anche nel 2019 come campionato Blancpain GT).

Con un messaggio su Facebook, il team di iRacing ha appena confermato ufficialmente l'arrivo, entro il 2020, della nuova BMW M4 GT4 per il simulatore americano. Come vedete dalle immagini, gli sviluppatori hanno già effettuato i primi scatti per riportare il 3D della vettura all'interno del software.

So, an exciting day yesterday here at the shop. The folks from iRacing came by to take detailed 3D measurements of our M4 GT4 that was used in the movie, The Art Of Racing In The Rain, to become part of their stable of race car choices in their iRacing Racing Video Simulator!

We have one of their simulators here at the shop, and the game is so realistic that many professional race drivers use it to become more familiar with a particular car and/or track, or just to keep their skills honed in the off season. We also have some very talented customers that stop by and really show off their iRacing skills!

Looking forward to “getting behind the wheel” and going for a spirited drive at Lime Rock Park, or perhaps on the Nurburgring! Thanks guys!

Il circuito di Suzuka è un autodromo giapponese, tra i più importanti ed originali al mondo, grazie ad alcune caratteristiche che l'hanno reso inconfondibile. È stata la sede del Gran Premio del Giappone di Formula 1 dal 1987 al 2006. Nei campionati 2007 e 2008 è stato sostituito in questo ruolo dal rinnovato circuito del Fuji, per tornare poi in calendario dal 2009.

Costruito all'interno di un parco giochi dalla Honda nelle vicinanze della città di Suzuka in Giappone come tracciato da utilizzare nei test, Suzuka è diventato, negli anni 1980, un appuntamento fisso per la Formula 1 ed in seguito per il motomondiale dove ha ospitato varie edizioni del Gran Premio motociclistico del Giappone.

Lungo 5 807 metri, il tracciato giapponese è uno dei più spettacolari e tecnici grazie alla varietà delle sue curve (si passa da tornanti come l'Hairpin a curvoni veloci come la curva 15 chiamata 130R), infatti è sempre stato amato dai piloti che vi hanno corso. Questa pista è inoltre l'unica nella storia della Formula 1 ad avere una conformazione ad 8, ovvero con un sottopasso e relativo cavalcavia. Nonostante la bellezza del tracciato, a Suzuka è sempre stato problematico compiere sorpassi.

Grazie alla sua posizione nel calendario, storicamente posta a fine Campionato, Suzuka è stata spesso determinante al fine dell'assegnazione del titolo di Formula 1. L'edizione 1987, ricordata anche per il ritorno alla vittoria della Ferrari dopo un lungo digiuno, laureò per la terza volta campione del mondo Nelson Piquet, agevolato nell'impresa dall'incidente che mise k.o. nelle prove il suo compagno di squadra Nigel Mansell, unico altro contendente.

Nel triennio 1988-90 la lotta fu tra i grandi rivali Ayrton Senna e Alain Prost, i cui duelli infiammavano la Formula Uno di quegli anni. Il 1988 vide il primo trionfo iridato del brasiliano ai danni del francese, entrambi su McLaren. Nel 1989, all'ultima variante, un tentativo di sorpasso di Senna sul compagno di squadra Prost si risolse in un discusso incidente. Mentre il francese scendeva dalla sua vettura, ritirandosi, il brasiliano si faceva spingere dai commissari, e ripartiva tagliando la chicane. Fermatosi ai box per cambiare il musetto danneggiato, Senna tornava in pista e, negli ultimi giri, sorpassava Alessandro Nannini, che aveva preso la leadership della gara, e andava a vincere. I commissari, però, nel dopo gara, squalificheranno il brasiliano, reo di aver tagliato la chicane, consegnando così il titolo al compagno Prost. L'anno seguente Senna, tentando di superare Prost (passato nel frattempo alla Ferrari) alla prima curva, lo speronò causando il ritiro di entrambi; quell'incidente valse al brasiliano il secondo titolo mondiale.

Ancora a Suzuka Senna vinse il suo terzo titolo nel 1991, quando riuscì a piegare le velleità stavolta di Nigel Mansell, uscito di pista nei primi giri.

Suzuka tornò ad essere determinante nell'edizione 1996, con un duello tutto in casa Williams: Damon Hill vince il Gran Premio e si aggiudica quel Mondiale, sconfiggendo il compagno di squadra Jacques Villeneuve, costretto al ritiro per il distacco di una ruota. Le edizioni 1998 e 1999, invece, sancirono la vittoria iridata del finlandese Mika Häkkinen ai danni dei ferraristi Michael Schumacher e Eddie Irvine.

Il circuito di Suzuka fu pure teatro, nel 2000, del ritorno alla vittoria, nel Campionato del Mondo Piloti, della Ferrari, grazie a Michael Schumacher, quest'ultimo al suo terzo alloro iridato. Infine, l'ultima volta che questa pista assegnò il titolo fu nel Campionato 2003, con lo stesso Schumacher che lo vinse, per la sesta volta, al termine di una gara piuttosto difficile e fortunosa.

Alla fine del 2006, il circuito fu momentaneamente abbandonato in favore del rinnovato Circuito del Fuji; nel 2009 Suzuka è tornato ad ospitare il Gran Premio del Giappone a seguito del ritiro del Fuji.

Suzuka tornò ad essere decisiva nel 2011, Button vinse ma Vettel giunse terzo e si riconfermò campione del mondo.

Il circuito, nel 2014, viene particolarmente ricordato in seguito all'incidente del pilota francese della Manor Racing, Jules Bianchi; primo incidente fatale dopo il Gran Premio Di San Marino del 1994, dove morirono Ayrton Senna e Roland Ratzenberger.

Kunos Simulazioni ci presenta una serie di screenshots inediti del suo prossimo Intercontinental GT Challenge, primo DLC in arrivo per Assetto Corsa Competizione. Le immagini ci mostrano in particolare lo spettacolare circuito australiano di Bathurst, sul quale proprio nel weekend del 1/2 Febbraio si svolgerà la famosa endurance di 12 ore. Il rilascio del pacchetto, che include anche Kyalami, Suzuka e Laguna Seca, potrebbe quindi arrivare proprio in concomitanza con l'evento australiano.

Adria International Raceway has been in operation since 2001. In these years it has become one of the significant tracks in Italy for national and international motorsport activities and manufactorer devolopemnt, as well as being a complete structure to receive events of various kinds like exhibitions and congresses. Restaurants, hotels, rooms and exhibition spaces of various sizes are some of the aspects of the modern structure as well as having of course an international motor racing, karting and motorcycle circuit.

The track can accommodate up to 32 cars in short races and up to 40 cars in endurance races. The layout of the track is so it guarantees overtaking manoeuvres and shows the spectacular races. In fact, at each significant straight is follows by a slow corner that requires a sophisticated braking technique. Each corner has different radius and banking in order to encourage the alternation of the driving line. A proper chicane and sequence of fast corners in the last sector complete the package of Adria international raceway.

Codemasters annuncia l'arrivo per il 4 dicembre del nuovo addon Season 1 Hot Hatch Showdown per GRID, con 4 nuove vetture, oltre 30 eventi di carriera ed un nuovo tracciato.

GRID Season 1 adds even more variety and unpredictability to GRID’s action-packed racing experience on December 4, with the arrival of the Hot Hatch Showdown.

Four new cars, over 30 new career events, and a new circuit all drop into GRID in this update, with Ultimate Edition players receiving exclusive content. Let’s take a closer look at what’s rolling out of the garage for Season 1.

The Hot Hatch Showdown sees four brand new cars added to GRID’s roster – all legendary pint-sized hatchbacks. Ultimate Edition players can get behind the wheel of the MINI Hatch JCW, Lancia Delta HF Integrale Super Hatch, Renault S1600, and the AUDI S1 quattro Concept. Playable in Career, Free Play and Multiplayer, the new Hot Hatches can be used in any race scenario. For GRID players without Ultimate Edition, the Renault Clio is available in Free Play and Multiplayer events as a loan car.

   

GRID’s globe-trotting Career mode now has even more challenges to overcome, with Season 1 adding another 33 Career events to conquer. Available to Ultimate Edition players, head to the Career menu and switch to the new tab to find two brand new Career threads – one featuring the new Season 1 cars, the other using the existing car roster.

Complete the race objectives to advance through the threads and reach two new Showdown events; win those and you’ll be in the final three-race Series, where a new Ravenwest challenge awaits you.

Finally, we’re adding to GRID’s list of circuits with the return of a series favourite, available for free to all players. Race around the Arc de Triomphe and underneath the Eiffel Tower, and Get Your Heart Racing around the streets of Paris.
