Hello sim racers,

Welcome to the start of the 2023 Q1 hype train!

For this first announcement, we’ve got something that we are pretty certain will prove to be popular amongst our own audience both new and existing – the GT3 set of cars is being updated!!

Featuring no less than 14 models as of February 2023, the GT3 category is a popular specification of race car throughout the world of virtual motorsport, and the cars available within rFactor 2 are absolutely no exception to this trend.

With varied models from the likes of Aston Martin, BMW, Porsche, McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari, Bentley, Radical and Audi already available within the simulation, all of which having been released at varying times during the life of rFactor 2, this February, the studio has taken the opportunity to refresh these popular vehicles with the latest physics, technology and tyre development progress deployed with our more recent releases.

Hello sim racers!

With the upcoming Q1 2023 update and content release for rFactor 2, we’ve got quite a few goodies up our sleeves, some of which will be news to you all… but on to that one in a minute.

Quite frankly, because of the sheer volume of things we are set to bring into this new build, we could do with a little more time to add the finer polish we need before we feel confident pushing out the update into the public domain – as such, we’ve taken the decision to delay our new release until Tuesday 21st February.

That said, remain on schedule to deploy the GT3 update and BOP on Tuesday, February 7th, with a further refinement coming on the 21st based on community feedback.

So, let’s tell you one of the big reasons why we want to delay… this Friday, we will update our Release Candidate with a new feature… the ability to race online against content you don’t own! Exciting as this is, we just need more time to polish it all up, and a few other bits, so we hope you don’t mind a little delay – I’m sure you will think it was worth the wait!

Hello sim racers!

Welcome to the very first new content preview of 2023! Can you believe we are here already, getting ready to kick off the year in style with a massive track announcement… that’s right, how better to start a new season of content releases than with a track probably no one thought we’d ever do… the beautiful, the technical, the challenging and the down right outstanding Long Beach Grand Prix Street Circuit is coming to rFactor 2 this February!

Loved by pretty much everyone, from fans, teams and drivers alike, Long Beach is one of those tracks that just feels right in pretty much any kind of car – from tin top to open wheel to long distance endurance – if it has wheels, then it’s a sure thing to be more fun than you can shake a stick at around this sensational little street circuit.
