VELOCIPEDE
Turn10 ha spiegato cosa sarà il sistema mods per Forza 6 ModsMods are a new feature in Forza Motorsport 6, one that has been designed to bring a new layer of depth, challenge and fun to the career and free play races where Mods will be available to use. In essence, Mods give the player the chance to affect the race, whether through adding additional challenges, changing the handling of the car, or offering additional bonuses at the end of a race. In many ways, Mods give the player the chance to dare themselves to do better in a race, and reap the rewards if they are successful. We believe that players get more out of Forza, when they start turning the assists off and master their collection of cars. Therefore, Mods also create an additional “risk for reward” system to encourage experimentation with higher difficulty assist settings. Here we’ll explain what Mods are, how they work, and how you can make them work for you in your Forza 6 careerFirst, Mods are game modifiers, similar to perks in Forza Horizon 2 or Skulls in Halo 4, that you can unlock as you play in Forza Motorsport 6. Mods can only be used in either Career or in Free Play modes – players cannot use Mods in multiplayer or Leagues races or in Rivals events. Mod packs can be won as part of the Prize spinner (described above) or purchased for in-game credits. Different Mods affect your race in different ways. Mods come in three main categories:DareDare Mods challenge the player to get out of their comfort zone and perform with specific driving requirements that will test their skills. Players will earn credits bonuses if they succeed in a race with a Dare mod added. All Dare Mods can be used as many times as the player likes, but only one dare can be used at a time. Higher level Dare Mods include more difficult challenges and much greater rewards. Also, because many dares lock the player into harder difficulty settings, the player gets double rewards for using them: first, the dare Mod rewards the player directly. And second, the locked assist setting continue to provide scalars as well – i.e. if the Mod give +15% cr for driving without STM and turning off STM provides +10% by itself, the player receives both scalars. Some examples of Dare mods include:· Severe Power Decrease – Power decreased by 8%. Hit the objective to earn +20% credits.· Manual With Clutch – Manual transmission with clutch. Hit the objective to earn +20% credits.· Back of the Pack – Start in 24th Grid Position. Hit the objective to earn +30% credits.CrewCrew Mods give the player a specific performance advantage during a race, depending on the Crew Mod used. Crew Mods don’t offer specific bonus rewards but can give players an advantage in a race, especially when going up against more skilled Drivatars or trying to optimize your car’s performance on a given track. These are like an extra level of tuning or upgrades. The player has to use strategy, knowledge of the track and knowledge of the car in order to get the most out of these Mods. Some examples of Crew mods include:· Chassis Expert — -7% weight, +3% grip· Braking Engineer — +20% braking, +5% powerBoostBoost Mods give the players a specific advantage during a race or a bonus for performing well in a race. Boost Mods might increase the total amount of credits you can earn after a race, or give you a bonus to XP or credits for performing certain in-game feats. Boost Mods can only be used once – after they are used in a race, they will be automatically discarded from your Mod inventory. Some examples of Boost mods include:· Pristine Drafting – Earn 3,000 credits for Perfect Drafts up to 18,000 credits.· Ghost – Your car has no collisions for the first lap of this race.· Superior Payout – Earn +60% credits for a single raceRarity and SlotsAll Mods have rarity ratings – the more rare the Mod, the more powerful effects it can have on your race or on the post-race bonus you receive. When obtaining Mod packs, you’ll be able to tell which packs have a better chance of offering rare cards, though you won’t be able to see which Mods are in a pack until you’ve opened it.Once you have some Mods, you can use them in a race by adding them to one of three Mods slots available to the player before each race. Players can mix and match Mods across all three categories (Boosts, Dares, and Crew) though there are some limitations to how may Mods you can engage at once. You can only use a maximum of one Dare Mod per race, and/or one Crew Mod per race. Players can play up to three Boost Mods in a race. So, for example, you could choose to run three Boost Mods, two Boost Mods and either a Crew or Dare mod, or one of each type of Mod before the race begins. As you can see, the ability to mix and match cards means that you can create some powerful combinations of cards that can offer significant bonuses at the end of a race. There’s an element of strategy to Mods usage that is sure to add some depth to your pre-race preparation. For example, you might not want to enable a Dare mod that handicaps your power on a wide-open track like Daytona, but a Boost mod that rewards you for Perfect Drafts? That’s just the kind of Mod that you can take advantage of on Daytona’s massive oval.As mentioned above, Mods offer a new way to think about pre-race prep, and it’s important to note that Mods can only be used in Career or Free Play modes in Forza Motorsport 6. Mods cannot be used in multiplayer, Leagues, or Rivals events; in fact, Career lap times that feature Mods will be classified as “dirty” when appearing on that event’s Rivals leaderboard. VELOCIPEDE
Turn10 annuncia la licenza V8 Supercar If you’re looking to go full throttle or “give it some jandal” as our friends down under might say, week nine of Forza Motorsport 6 car reveals has just what you need – ten of the top V8 Supercars from Australia. Xbox will continue its partnership with V8 Supercars that began in 2002, in addition to extending the existing partnership with DJR Team Penske that will see the Xbox-liveried V8 Supercar raced in the 2015 Championship Enduro Series by driver Marcos Ambrose. This week’s announcement includes at least one car from all five constructors represented in the Aussie V8 Supercar series. That means with the Forza Motorsport 6 livery editor, you can create any car from the 2015 season. Don’t forget the laundry list of other awesome rides that will be ready to race in Forza Motorsport 6 on Sept. 15. It’s not too late to pre-order a copy of Forza Motorsport 6 Ultimate Edition through the Forza Hub app for Xbox One to ensure you can start playing as early as Sept. 10. Now let’s take a closer look at the V8 Supercars. Bathurst awaits their rumble and roar with you behind the wheel. 2015 Holden #1 Red Bull Racing Australia VF Commodore The #1 livery is on the right car. The #1 Red Bull Holden Commodore is driven by six-time V8 Supercar champion and four-time Bathurst 1000 winner Jamie Whincup. When Red Bull Racing takes interest in a sport it’s not long after you find them at the top. In 2015 Whincup and the #1 have won two races, taken second once and claimed multiple top ten finishes and the season isn’t over yet. 2015 Holden #22 Holden Racing Team VF Commodore In his fifth year with the Holden Racing Team, 2010 V8 Supercars champion James Courtney has been building momentum and making a mark in 2015. Courtney caught a victory at the third race of the season opener in Adelaide and has four other podiums this season. With the deep experience of HRT behind Courtney, there is no telling how far the team will go. 2015 Holden #97 Tekno Autosports VF Commodore Tekno Autosports was established to support the racing aspirations of the father-and-son team of Stephen and Jonathon Webb. With eight-year V8 Supercar veteran driver Shane Van Gisbergen behind the wheel, the team collected eight wins in 2014 and have earned 11 top ten finishes in 2015, including a couple podiums. 2015 Holden #14 Freightliner Racing VF Commodore Brothers Brad and Kim Jones have found success in every type of racing they’ve entered. This year in the V8 Supercar series, driver Fabian Coulthard has earned the team a victory and multiple podiums. These results have Coulthard sitting in sixth place in the drivers points with a few races left in 2015. 2015 Ford #5 Pepsi Max Crew PRA Falcon FG X 2015 has been an astounding year for driver Mark “Frosty” Winterbottom and the #5 Ford Falcon. The Pepsi Max crew have already chalked up eight wins and four podiums this season. Only twice have they finished outside the top ten. With a huge lead in the points, it looks like 2015 could be Frosty’s big year and his first V8 Supercars championship. 2015 Ford #17 Xbox Racing Ford Falcon FG X Two-time champion and V8 Supercar legend Marcos Ambrose made a much-heralded return to the Aussie road-racing series this year in the #17 Ford Falcon. Ambrose had spent the last few years in NASCAR and the return to Aussie V8s was challenging. Look for Ambrose and the #17, backed by experience of DJR Team Penske, in the remaining enduro races of 2015. 2015 Mercedes-Benz #4 Erebus Motorsport E63 AMG V8 Supercar Rookie Ash Walsh pilots the #4 in the V8 Supercar series for Erebus Motorsport. Walsh came up through the ranks of the V8 Supercars Dunlop series after getting his start in the Formula Ford series, where he won a record nine races in 2007. So far, 2015 has been a year to build upon with limited success, but the #4 still looks incredible. 2015 Mercedes-Benz #9 Erebus Motorsport E63 AMG V8 Supercar 2009 Bathurst winner Will Davison pilots the #9 E63 for Erebus Motorsport owner Betty Klimenko. 2015 brought the team’s first win with Davison behind the wheel at Perth. Adding to that podium are a handful of top ten finishes for the young team. 2015 Volvo #33 Wilson Security Racing GRM S60 After debuting the Volvo S60 Polestar in 2014, 22 year-old Scott McLaughlin went on to win five races and earned 10 podiums. His star was on the rise and he finished fifth in the points last season. 2015 was to be his shot at a championship, but lady luck has not been there to accompany the talented driver and his potent machine. Despite their ill fortune, McLaughlin and his team have high hopes and continue to excite fans. 2015 Nissan #23 Nissan Motorsport Altima When Nissan entered the fray of V8 Supercar racing they were the fifth manufacturer to enter a team in the series. 2014 was a strong year for the #23 Altima with driver Michael Caruso behind the wheel. By the end of 2014, Caruso was 10th in the points, the best ever finish for a Nissan driver in the modern era of V8 Supercar racing. While 2015 has not brought the same level of success, the team has been on the podium and just outside it. There are a more Aussie rides mixed in with the remainder of cars we are announcing this week. Take a good look. 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR 1997 Maserati Ghibli Cup 2011 HSV GTS 1981 Ford #55 Liqui Moly equipe Capri Turbo 1973 Ford XB Falcon GT 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor 2001 Acura Integra Type-R 1971 Lotus Elan Sprint 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO 2015 Honda #28 Andretti Autosport IndyCar 2015 Honda #27 Andretti Autosport IndyCar 2015 Chevrolet #1 Team Penske IndyCar 2015 Honda #25 Andretti Autosport IndyCar 1980 Abarth Fiat 131 1993 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale 1986 Lancia Delta S4 2013 Abarth Punto Supersport 2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde 1997 Mitsubishi GTO 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo 2009 Vauxhall Corsa VXR 2011 Lotus Evora S 2010 Renault Clio RS 2003 Renault Sport Clio V6 1989 Toyota MR2 SC 1986 Alfa Romeo GTV-6 2014 Lexus IS 350 F Sport 1980 Subaru BRAT GL 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Battletoads Edition

We’re celebrating all of this Forza news with some new details on the game, including the announcement of a number of previously unannounced cars in Forza Motorsport 6, as well as full details on all the tracks in the game. Read on for all the details! Brand New Cars Led by the awesome power of the 2015 Mercedes-AMG GT S, these ten newly announced cars bring the total car count to Forza Motorsport 6 to 460 cars in the standard edition, the largest number of cars ever seen at the launch of a Forza game! Here’s the list: 2015 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S When you first think of Mercedes-Benz, you may be drawn to the lavish luxury the brand is renowned for. But with the company’s recent dominance in Formula One (F1) – where its “Silver Arrows” are poised to capture a second Constructors’ Championship in a row – it’s clear Mercedes can do performance too. But what about both? Mercedes’ new AMG GT S balances the two disciplines, with equal doses of F1-like speed and la-z-boy luxury. Under the AMG GT S’s sleek hood sits a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing more than 500 horsepower. That’s enough boosted motor to pull competitive laps at any racetrack and hit 193 mph flat out, complimented by a leather-lined interior befit for autobahn blasts. Bordering on supercar, but still competing with other top models from Germany, the AMG GT S is exactly what you’d expect from Mercedes: the pinnacle of performance and luxury. The rest of the cars we’re revealing today: · 1979 BMW #6 BMW Motorsport M1 Procar · 2015 Volvo S60 Polestar · 2014 Audi #45 Flying Lizard Motorsports R8 LMS ultra · 2014 BMW #5 Ebay Motors 125i M Sport · 2014 Chevrolet #3 Corvette Racing Corvette C7.R · 2015 Jaguar XKR-S GT · 1976 Lotus #5 Team Lotus 77 · 1969 Lola #10 Simoniz Special T163 · 2014 Ferrari California T Track Details Forza Motorsport 6 will feature 26 locales and more than 100 ribbons total, including brand new locations like Brands Hatch, Daytona Motor Speedway, Monza, and more. Tracks in Forza 6 include a mix of real-world circuits and fictional tracks based on real locations. Each of the real racing circuits in the game has been carefully chosen because of its stature on the world stage of motorsport, as well as its fun and challenge. In addition, we have brand new tracks like Rio, which have been created specifically to create a one-of-a-kind driving experience for the player, full of stunning beauty and excitement. Forza Motorsport 6 is taking its track lineup to the next level with its stunning night and rain racing and the team at Turn 10 has worked incredibly hard to bring racing in the rain and racing at night to life on Xbox One in a way no other game has. Let’s take a look at the full track list in Forza 6, and how you’ll experience them in a brand new way. First up, here’s the full list of all 26 environments in the game: Autodromo Nazionale Monza Circuit of the Americas Hockenheimring Sonoma Raceway Watkins Glen The other tracks we have announced for Forza Motorsport 6. Brands Hatch Bernese Alps Circuit de Catalunya Circuit de Spa Francorchamps Daytona International Speedway Indianapolis Motor Speedway Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe Lime Rock Park Long Beach Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Mount Panorama Circuit (Bathurst) Nürburgring Prague Rio Road America Road Atlanta Sebring International Raceway Silverstone Test Track Top Gear Yas Marina Racing in the Rain No matter how fast you think you are, the rain will humble you. There’s a reason they call rain “the great equalizer” – it’s enough to bring even the greatest racers down to earth. It’s where the smallest errors are magnified a hundredfold, and where the greatest risks can be the difference between victory and an embarrassing spin. With Forza Motorsport 6, we’ve brought rain to life; simulating the experience of not just how rain looks and sounds but, most importantly, how it feels. Fully modeled 3D puddles lurk on wet-weather tracks, waiting to pounce on your car like hungry sea monsters. Get an apex wrong or dip a tire in the water, and you’ll feel the puddle pulling your car deeper into the wet. Perhaps the most challenging aspect of racing in the rain is relearning the course. After all, your racing line changes in wet weather – where once there was an apex, there might be a puddle, and you’ll need to react and relearn your racing line in order to find the fastest (and safest) way around the track. Each of the wet-weather tracks in Forza Motorsport 6 have been selected because of their close ties to rain racing. Whether its U.K.-based circuits like Brands Hatch or Silverstone, or famous endurance racing tracks like Spa or the Nürburgring (the latter of which features more than 500 accurately placed puddles!), these locations will test your mastery of the car, the weather, and yourself: Brands Hatch Circuit de Spa Francorchamps Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe Nürburgring Sebring International Raceway Silverstone Additionally, the Top Gear Track will feature wet conditions. Racing at Night Racing makes demands of the driver in an entirely different way. Call it bravery, chutzpah, or sheer will , driving at ludicrous speeds when all you have to guide you are a pair of headlights and, if you’re lucky, the brake lights of the cars ahead, requires race drivers to go above and beyond what is already expected of them. The same is true in Forza Motorsport 6. Whether you are careening down the back straight at Le Mans or navigating tight traffic on Daytona, night racing in Forza Motorsport 6 requires you to use your driving skills in new ways. We’ve taken inspiration from different variations of night, too. After all, racing under the neon lights of the Viceroy Hotel at Yas Marina is a very different experience from battling it out in the darkest depths of Sebring. With reduced grip thanks to the cooler track temperatures, you’ll experience a unique challenge in each of the night-racing tracks in Forza 6: Circuit de Spa Franchorchamps Daytona International Speedway Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe Nürburgring Plus, Sebring International Raceway, and Yas Marina will be available to race at night. Your first taste of Forza Motorsport 6 is coming on September 1 with the arrival of the demo. Look for more information on Forza Motorsport 6 later this week!
