Isle of Man TT Course Considered for Gran Turismo 7

 

A “team of programmers from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe” are reportedly on the Isle of Man, studying the famous TT Race circuit which stretches over 37.73 miles across public roads on the island.

The report comes from Bike Sports News magazine, who claims a source from the Isle of Man’s tourism department informed them that Sony are considering the track for inclusion in Gran Turismo 7 on the PlayStation 4....

 

GTPlanet users who live on the Isle of Man are reporting that a Gran Turismo team was spotted at the airport. Police have also informed local residents that this service vehicle would be driven slowly around the circuit over the next two weeks by “Japanese technicians”.

“Big Updates” Coming to GT6, Improved Physics & AI for GT7
 
Italian website Quattroruote recently participated in an interview session with Kazunori Yamauchi, and – as is often the case when journalists get to spend time with him these days – they were eager to ask about the future with Gran Turismo 7.
Although he’s obviously not going to reveal any major details about the game at this point in time, he did re-affirm just how much more the team at Polyphony Digital will be able to do with the additional processing power provided by the PS4:
“I still cannot go into detail, but developing on PS3 was hard: you don’t have enough memory to do all you want. Our goal was to always preserve the feel of Gran Turismo but with the latest installment we had to face limitations. With PS4 we have a lot of memory available: we’ll be able to exploit it easily, inserting elements that we had to force or withheld on PS3.
There will be better graphics, better physics engine, smarter AI and more online options.”

Yamauchi: “Everything will be running naturally, PS3 was much, much more difficult. The high quality of data that we have being rendered on the PS4 I think is going to make an incredible difference.”

“For GT7, myself and my staff have a clear vision: to do everything we couldn’t do in GT6. We want to make it very Gran Turismo. By that I mean it’s going to be a game that matches the very era that we live in, in 2015 or 2016.”

Io sono rimasto molto legato all'ultimo GT5 con la PS3 , il GT6 l'ho provato ma sono rimasto molto deluso , sopratutto dopo aver visto e provato FORZA MOTO SPORT della Xbox .....un altro mondo.

Ad oggi penso che Project Cars abbia tutte le carte in regola per sorpassare Grant Turismo , per questo lo attendo con ansia e curiosità. Certo se un giorno arriverà GT7 rinnovato e nuovo in tutti i sensi allora lo acquisterò con piacere.

Interpellato da Spaziogames sul futuro della serie Gran Turismo, Yamauchi ha garantito che nel settimo capitolo saranno risolti molti problemi legati alla fisica degli impatti e alla simulazione dei danni, due aspetti che da sempre sono tenuti in seria considerazione dai fan di questa saga. Si conferma inoltre un maggior numero di auto premium in Gran Turismo 7, anche se - per il momento - Yamauchi-san ha preferito non sbilanciarsi parlando di cifre.
Infine, alla domanda sul presunto arrivo di Gran Turismo 7 nel 2017, come inizialmente paventato da alcune fonti, è giunta una secca smentita: "La gente non aspetterà mai così tanto". Yamauchi ha poi aggiunto: "Stiamo parlando di Gran Turismo, non bisognerà attendere così a lungo".
La dichiarazione di Yamauchi lascia intendere un probabile arrivo del gioco entro la fine del 2016, probabilmente nel periodo autunnale. Al momento, però, lo sviluppatore giapponese non si è sbilanciato sulla sua presenza alla conferenza Sony dell'E3 2015, non rilasciando dichiarazioni a riguardo. Di certo sappiamo che alla conferenza non sarà presente il suo storico traduttore, Takayuki "Translator-san" Nushida, lasciandoci intendere che - con ogni probabilità - non ci saranno annunci da parte di Yamauchi nel corso della conferenza di Los Angeles. Ciononostante, in queste ultime settimane Yamauchi ha attraversato tre diversi continenti per incontrare alcuni produttori di case automobilistiche, lasciandoci intendere che non manchi molto all'atteso reveal di Gran Turismo 7.
