L'altro direttamente dall'exe.

Nel readme del mod (riportato anche nel primo post) c'è la spiegazione su come far andare il mod Fia GT X-SPEC assieme a questo.

Ciao.

FIA GT 1997 mod mini update

FEATURES:

3 new cars from the FIA GT 1997 Championship.

Cars included:

Callaway GT2 Corvette

Saleen and Cirtek GT2 Mustangs

Sound fix for:

Mercedes CLK-GTR and Porsche 911 GT2 Evo

New AIW for;

Donington Park

Fix to address an issue with the wheels of the McLaren F1 Short Tail

INSTALLATION:

1) Extract all rar/zip files into a temporary directory.

2) Drag the FIAGTSeason folder to the location containing the FIAGT1997.exe. Click "Yes to All" when Windows displays a "Confirm Folder Replace" or "Confirm File Replace" warning.

BASIC PHYSICS MODELLING DETAILS:

Finding accurate physics data for the 1997 FIA GT2 versions of the Callaway Corvette and Saleen Mustang was extremely difficult. They are not as accurate as we would have liked, but we felt it was better to release them to the community for the people to enjoy.

With the AI strength set to 100%, the Corvette and Saleens can be competitive with proper setup and consistent lap times. However, it will be a challenge to beat the Oreca Vipers and the Roock 911 GT2 Porsches.

This is a simulation, the cars are difficult to drive. Please note that unfortunately not all wet weather tires have been fully developed. Some cars might seem to unfairly gain an advantage in the wet.

Note that at Hockenheim and Silverstone, the GT1 Turbo cars have a power disadvantage, as per real life. If you drive a turbo car there you will not be competitive, especially at Hockenheim which demands big power.

If you are having difficulty driving and controlling some of the high end GT1's, we would suggest driving a Lotus GT1, Panoz GTR-1, Venturi 600 LM, or if you prefer GT2 vehicles, a TVR Cerbera GT, Marcos, or Dodge Viper.

Porsche's are generally the most difficult to drive vehicles, so if you are up for a challenge, start here. For most of you, a Lotus GT1, or Marcos might be a good starting place.

TYRES:

We have 5 tire brands.

Bridgestone - Difficult to drive. These tires probably provide the most grip.

Dunlop - Probably the easiest to drive. Wear can be an issue.

Goodyear - Fairly easy to drive, similar tire to the Dunlop's overall, though probably slightly faster.

Michelin - These are probably the most difficult to drive. They have good (low) wear and are an excellent choice for long races, though bridgestone tires probably are the fastest.

Pirelli - Also difficult to drive, these tires tend to wear out quickly. Raw grip is high.

POTENTIAL ISSUES:

1) Cars are not selectable from the menu.

1. Fix.

Make sure all

"Allowed Vehicles" fields in the PLR file are blank.

They should all look like this;

CURNT Allowed Vehicles="AND: "

Your PLR file can be found under FIAGTSave\ folder, under the user's name folder. We highly recommend you use the included Save file, as it includes some optimizations specifically for our mod.

2) Getting FIA GT X-Spec to work along side the FIA GT 97 mod.

If you have FIA GT: X-Spec. The game will overwrite the default camera file in the FIAGTSave\ folder. The Cmaps.mas, CBD.mas, & Drivers.mas will also be overwritten in the FIAGTSeason\Vehicles folder.

2. Fix;

To get the mods working together, please backup these mentioned files, install the FIA GT 97 mod, and then replace the specified files in the FIAGTSeason\Vehicles folder with the X-Spec versions. Our mod does not contain any new files within these mas files, and so could be compatible when doing this. To be safe, back-up the files you are replacing.

Step 1 - Rename CDB.mas, Cmaps.mas, & Drivers.mas in the FIAGTSeason\Vehicles folder. (to say, 1CDB.mas, etc.)

Step 2 - Install the FIA GT 97 mod as specified.

Step 3 - Rename CDB.mas, Cmaps.mas, & Drivers.mas in the FIAGTSeason\Vehicles folder. (to say, 97CDB.mas, etc.)

Step 4 - Rename 1CDB.mas, 1Cmaps.mas, & 1Drivers.mas in the FIAGTSeason\Vehicles folder to CDB.mas, Cmaps.mas, & Drivers.mas, respectively.

It should work now, though camera's may experience issues when using FIA GT X-Spec. To resolve this you must switch between camera files in the FIAGTSave\ folder. We have included a file called "ChangeCamera's.bat", which will alternate the files for you. You may create a shortcut to this file if you wish, and be sure to select this first when alternating between mods.

3) Pit crew animations set to MED or HIGH causes CTD.

3. Fix; Set Pit crew animations to LOW.

4) AI cars do not suffer mechanical failures.

4. Fix; Set Mechanical failures to "Selected season".

KNOWN BUGS:

Unfortunately this mod is not as complete as we would have liked. University, family, career all prevented us from investing the amount of time necessary to meet the demands of this mod.

Some AI pit-lane logic issues.

Some small transparency issues when using 16-bit color.

Race time is not accurate when race distance is set to less than 100%.

Helsinki Thunder is Beta due to lack of accurate and complete data. We have included it in the mod for you to test drive.
