In the run up to 2017 FORMULA 1 ROLEX BRITISH GRAND PRIX, we’re extremely happy to be showing a brand new trailer off to you for F1™ 2017, the official videogame of the 2017 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™. The trailer showcases Max Verstappen playing F1 2017 in the stunning ‘Hall of Fame’ at Red Bull Racing Headquarters in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, ahead of the 2017 FORMULA 1 ROLEX BRITISH GRAND PRIX this weekend at the iconic Silverstone circuit. In a first for our F1 games, in addition to all of the twenty official 2017 circuits being present in the new game, we can announce to you that F1 2017 will also include four shortened circuit variations, including ‘Silverstone Short’. You can see Max Verstappen driving the 2017 Red Bull Racing RB13 and also the classic 2010 Red Bull Racing RB6 on the ‘Silverstone Short’ circuit in the trailer below Of course, Max Verstappen approaches the Silverstone Short circuit in trademark fashion in the trailer, and sets a new fastest lap! The four shortened circuit variations are available in all game modes, and can be raced with either the 2017 or the classic cars. Max said of his experience playing the new F1 2017 game: “I really like the game and it is a lot more fun to drive with the new cars. The graphics are a lot better, they’ve made the cars more realistic, and that’s always good. I like the detail on the classic cars involved and it’s always nice to drive those old legendary cars. I think it’s a great game, it’s definitely a lot of fun to play.” In the trailer Verstappen also comments on how the two cars feel to him compared to his real life experiences: “The 2017 RB13 feels really good in the game, with the extra grip, from the new 2017 car designs as well as from the wider tyres, resulting in faster cornering speeds which require more precision. In comparison, the classic RB6 is lighter, with a slower top speed, and later braking, and of course the biggest stand out being the sound of the engine.”
McLaren’s World’s Fastest Gamer esports competition will kick off the first of four official qualifying events in conjunction with the Silverstone Circuit this July. World’s Fastest Gamer will pit 10 virtual racers (six pre-selected by a panel of experts, and four chosen via online championships) in a fierce competition that will see the winner awarded the role of McLaren simulator driver for one year. The first qualifying heat will be conducted using the RFactor 2 platform across a four-week period following the British Grand Prix, held at Silverstone, on July 16. The top 20 drivers will race each weekend, with points counting towards the Silverstone championship. The eventual winner will be given a place in the finale. “Silverstone is a venue that’s synonymous with motorsport and is a great place to kick off our virtual racing contest," explained McLaren Technology Group Executive Director Zak Brown. "We’re looking forward to working together with Silverstone to help bring a new and younger audience into the motorsport world.” Three further official qualifying events will take place ahead of the grand finale, which will be held across several days at the McLaren Technology Centre. These three events will be conducted on mobile and console platforms. Further information about how to enter the qualifying event is to follow...

25-01-2017 What’s New (Summary) First pass of VR support Leaderboard divisions. Multiplayer Browser Revamp. Manual Pitstops in Get Real. AI Stress factor. All DTM seasons updated to latest physics. Silverstone and Stowe. Game: Added a first pass of support for OpenVR. Read more about it HERE. Fixed an issue where turning the virtual wheel in vehicle settings on/off would not apply in game until session restart. Tweaks to Memory usage of Instant Replays and changed so instant replays always request 300 seconds length. Memfiles are now written to disk when becoming too large. Player is now allowed to pit in non race sessions (to practice pitstops, change tires, refuel…). Before, the player would automatically be brought to garage menu after entering pitlane. Fixed issue with timing on single lap layouts (ie Nordschleife Tourist) when starting from garage in non race sessions. Fixed issue with best individual sector times being calculated incorrectly. Fixed a case where enabling Manual Depth of Field mode wouldn’t always lock the focus plane on the currently selected car Fixed AI pitting in last lap on certain occasions by adding precision to calculations for refuelling. Fixed incorrect stance for certain cars, fixed this for replays as well now. Updated the Fanatec SDK to version 2.2 Added support for Fanatec CSL and added a default profile. Moved the message area used for displaying current camera, chat messages etc. down a bit so they don't overlap with the text field that displays which leaderboard division the player is in. Fixed issue with mouse steering resetting to zero position when looking left/right in cockpit & hood cams. Fixed an issue with race position overlay sometimes missing entries if they get processed in the wrong order. Fixed an issue where player would see pit lane speed window when off track on certain areas. Fixed an issue in timing screen where multiple entries of the same driver would appear. Minor tweaks and fixes to protocol that communicates to backend and web to support the additional data in the MP browser. Fixed DQ on late penalties being treated as it was ON when it was OFF. The Pit menu and Pit In Now overlays should now be hidden when restarting a non race session. Fixed an issue where cars could remain ghosted after receiving a slow-down penalty Fixed a crash occuring when game attempted to save pit presets on certain occasions. Fixed a rendering issue with cars that would occur when changing visual preset from low to custom and changing shadows from off to lowest. Multiplayer: Fixed issue with the dedicated server writing a backend log file in the wrong folder when too many liveries were allowed on the server. Fixed an issue in timing screen where multiple entries of the same driver would appear. Sounds, Cameras, Physics & AI: Introduced “Stress factor” for AI. AI’s can now be pushed into making mistakes when under pressure. Likelihood of those mistakes increases from being chased and from collisions. Improved AI awareness of opponents on their sides. When two AI’s are side by side reaching a braking point, one will brake 3% earlier and the other 2% later, depending on longitudinal position and relative speeds Increased awareness for AI when under blue flag and upon leaving pitlane for incoming traffic Punctures : occurrence of tire punctures are now tied to wheel rotation speed rather than vehicle speed. Reduced the bouncing of certain cars upon spawning in their garage location. Fixed a case that would cause 4WD cars to run with differentials wide open Fixed a case where DRS could disengage when driving over bumps Audi TT Cup and TT RS VLN : Added rear downforce to AI cars to keep them more stable in high speed weight transfers where they are often caught losing control. Tweaked AI versus players collisions to be more fair to the player DTM : Ported 2016 physics and sounds to all past seasons of the DTM. 11. rFactor 2: news dagli ISI

Finally, that confidential surface data is ours! The data we have can produce accurate bumps and surface features for the circuit. The ISI Track Team have taken the time recently to work on Silverstone, and the optimization results are also quite pleasing. We will also be adding the International layout. Their tweets from this last week round-up the facts of what the next Silverstone update will bring to the product... As the final tweet says, the new Silverstone enters internal testing very soon. Look for a public release in the near future!
  12. rFactor 2, novit

Before someone starts to complain about the missed use of Elgato, Fraps or any other software/device for video capture: this is not a promotional video or channel related to Kunos Simulazioni or Assetto Corsa; our videomaker is already working on several official teasers and gameplay videos that will be released at the proper time. The following video is just to be intended as a first look about gameplay, dynamic car behaviour, general appearance, and so on, even if the game is still in development. Hope you like it.
Classifica Nico Rosberg – Mercedes – 52 giri Mark Webber – Red Bull Renault – +0.765 Fernando Alonso – Ferrari – +7.124 Kimi Raikkonen – Lotus Renault – +7.756 Lewis Hamilton – Mercedes – +11.257 Felipe Massa – Ferrari – +14.573
  15. GP Silverstone: Hamilton, pole in casa

Last batch of shots that we will put out prior to it's public release, I assume. Planned for released before the British GP.

ISI are happy to announce that in addition to the Indy 500 licensing announced last week, we will soon be releasing an officially licensed Silverstone Circuit to be a part of our free rFactor 2 content. rFactor 2 is an ongoing development that will be updated and have major content like this, added freely, for years to come. We encourage you to post in our forums for any other content you may be interested in, and we will see if a license can be obtained. If you haven’t already tried rFactor 2, consider that we offer a no questions 30-day full refund, and are in the process of developing a free-to-try demo installer. Below you will find a first batch of images showing off the model quality and detail going into our build. Note that all images represent a work-in-progress model. All screenshots are in-sim, from our development versions which will also be public soon.
