  1. Vi proponiamo qui sotto un nuovo ed interessante video di confronto, che mette in paragone diretto la McLaren 650S GT3 a Silverstone con Assetto Corsa, rFactor 2 e RaceRoom. Voi cosa preferite?

Anche se siamo nel pieno di un Agosto torrido, qui su DrivingItalia siamo già al lavoro al muretto box, come vedete dalla foto , per garantirvi un autunno ed inverno all'insegna del miglior simracing, con gare e tornei online aperti a tutti. Come prima cosa, vi ricordiamo il torneo Sparco TopDriver Challenge con Assetto Corsa, che ha superato addirittura i 100 iscritti ed al quale potete ancora partecipare, provando a qualificarvi per la fase 2, visto che sono ancora 16 i posti disponibili per le gare online che si svolgeranno a Dicembre. A Settembre si accenderanno i motori di altri due tornei con Assetto Corsa: il TT Endurance Cup e, a grande richiesta, la seconda stagione del Tatuus Challenge, tutti e due già con un decina di iscritti. Affrettatevi quindi con le iscrizioni per non rischiare di... rimanere a piedi ! In autunno vogliamo accontentare anche i numerosi appassionati di RaceRoom Racing Experience e del WTCC: abbiamo già aperto un server dedicato per i primi test, sul quale potete già iniziare a girare e teneteci d'occhio perchè lanceremo un torneo pensato appunto per i fans del Mondiale Turismo. Per gli appassionati dello spettacolare karting e dell'eccellente simulatore Kart Racing Pro di Piboso, sono sempre attivi i nostri servers dedicati.     Dopo averla annunciata a marzo 2016, confermando il rinnovo dell'accordo di collaborazione con la BMW, il team Sector3 ha finalmente rilasciato per il suo RaceRoom Racing Experience la nuova BMW M235i Racing, vettura della casa bavarese fra le protagoniste di serie come il VLN Endurance Championship e la Nürburgring 24 Hours del Nürburgring - Nordschleife. Oltre alla nuova BMW, Sector3 ha rilasciato anche una corposa patch per il gioco, con varie migliorie e bugfix elencati qui di seguito. The BMW M235i Racing is a close-to-production coupé, developed by BMW Motorsport. Its regular hunting ground: The Nordschleife. The traction control gives the car a very predictable handling and makes it a good entry-level car. But when you turn it off and push the pedal to the metal, the 333 horsepower strong engine will provide a good challenge. The car comes with a wide variety of liveries, all 100% accurate representations of the real liveries that are used on the racetracks all over the world. But the car looks even more impressive when you take a look inside, and see the steering wheel with the integrated data display. RaceRoom worked together closely with Sorg Rennsport, a racing team that enters the BMW M235i Racing on the Nordschleife, and we managed to implement all of its functions into our simulation. Accurate sound is one of the trademarks of RaceRoom, and in order to get the best representation, our sound designer Anthony Monteil met up with the Duwo team, which entered the BMW M235i Racing at the Hankook 24h race at Paul Ricard, to get the best impression and sound recordings from all angles. The visuals and the sound are important, but what is potentially the most important thing for a simracing enthusiast is that the car is as realistic as possible. In order to achieve that, we have taken some extra steps to ensure that you get the full M235i Racing experience. In addition to the factory data we received from BMW, we worked together with the Duwo team and Sorg Rennsport and collected a lot of telemetry and data which was used for the creation of our virtual version. Data alone isn’t everything; the feeling has to be right as well. For this reason, Oskar Sandberg joined the development team as a beta tester. Oskar has years of experience as a real racing driver, a lot of experience on RaceRoom – and most importantly, he drives the BMW M235i Racing in real life. He managed to claim the victory of the Dubai 24 hours race in the car, and this season he is driving on the Nordschleife. He could give us invaluable in-depth feedback on the behavior of the car that we implemented before the release. We are proud to say: The only way of getting a more realistic BMW M235i Racing experience is driving the actual car. But that won’t be possible for 349 vRP. So get your virtual helmet! Changed the logic for the “Restart” button in leaderboards & competitions so it no longer purges your best lap and can still show the live time diff to your ghost on the data display. Fixed a message wrongly stating the next lap would be invalidated in Hillclimb runs. Fixed an issue where the HUD elements would sometimes be moved when coming back from an instant replay. Fixed a crash occuring sometimes when cycling through cameras in the pitlane. Game now aborts start-up if no display adapter resolution was found. Multiplayer: Added a dedicated server setting to set a latency limit (in milliseconds). Any player caught consistently above that limit will be automatically booted. Added a dedicated server setting to force the race to end after a set time (in seconds). When set to OFF, the server will always wait for a race winner. Fixed an issue where the dedicated server would sometimes not wait for late joiners to complete their loading sequence and proceed to next session anyway. Fixed a case where disconnected players would sometimes remain visible on the HUD track map. Sounds, Cameras, Physics & AI: All cars: new external gearshifts added. L'update, oltre alla consueta lista di bugfix e migliorie varie, ci mette a disposizione un nuovo display, nuove opzioni per le regole delle bandiere in gara, miglioramenti al replay, inoltre attiva la disponibilità del nuovo circuito svedese di Falkenberg (acquistabile per euro 2,98) e del pacchetto vetture WTCC 2017 (acquistabile per euro 7,97). It's compact, it's hilly and for many Scandinavian racing hopefuls it is the place where they had their first true test of cornering technique and raw driving skill. Keep the speed down and it is a fun rollercoaster ride, but as you gain speed it becomes a serious challenge. There is no time to relax, no place to catch your breath and no forgiving run-off areas. Continuing our series of Scandinavian Tracks we present you another frequently requested Swedish circuit: Falkenberg The track is part of the STCC - Scandinavian Touring Car Championship calendar and hosts regular endurance races and classic events. Anderstorp Raceway is now available http://bit.ly/RR_Anderstorp Anderstorp is a long standing marker in Swedish racing history, this is where the greats of Formula One battled in the glory days and where speed kings of Scandinavia were crowned for decades. The track combines a very long straight with cambered sweepers and tight hairpin turns. It demands a good setup of the car and precise lines from the driver to master. L'aggiornamento, oltre ai consueti bugfix e migliorie varie, implementa anche le nuove regole relative alle bandiere in gara (gialla, rossa, blu...) e l'atteso nuovo pacchetto WTCC 2016, che per euro 7,97 (acquistabile da qui) ci offre le vetture della passata stagione del mondiale turismo. 05-04-2017 What’s New (Summary) Flags WTCC 2016 Game: Changed so upon finishing a race with a slowdown penalty still active, the player will receive a penalty of 30 seconds added to his final result. Fixed issue with video options breaking when switching monitors with same resolution but different refresh rates. Changed so the slowdown time penalty you receive now factors in the actual track distance you have skipped to fix issue with finishing without receiving a penalty for cutting. Changed so if the accumulated slowdown time penalty exceeds the set post-race time penalty for finishing a race with a slow down on your head, you are now disqualified from the race. Current limit is set to 30 seconds. Fixed refueling sound continuing when refueling and returning back to garage in practice. Fixed issue where "Pit timer" from previous event was showing when player was in a new session after completing an event with mandatory pitstop with a minimum pitstop duration. Fixed an issue where player was sometimes able to change fuel when fuel usage was off. Player car will now always use default fuel amount if fuel usage is off.   25. Non se ne parlava più addirittura da settembre scorso, ma sembra che finalmente sia giunta l'ora del nuovo WTCC 2016 pack per RaceRoom Racing Experience. Il team Sector3 ha infatti confermato sui social l'arrivo a breve del DLC che implementerà nel software la passata stagione del mondiale turismo, includendo anche la nuova Volvo S60 Polestar, che ci viene mostrata in azione al Nordschleife nell'ultimo video realizzato da Georg "6e66o" Ortner (che vi ricordiamo è un membro dello staff Sector3). Inoltre il prossimo update ci offrirà anche la novità delle bandiere con tutte le relative regole.
