GPL Titans has been postponed untill Mark Beckman completes his move (family included). He emailed me last week about some matters and he told me that everything was going well and that he will restart GPL Titans developement soon. In the meantime, new physics for the Mercedes W125 have been developed and are ready to be tested. Mark released beta versions of some tracks (Donnington 1938, Reims 1938, Avus, etc) and he will restart them after he is able to restart his GPL works.
1965/1955 mods are going very well. The 1965 cars' graphics will be finished soon and there are some works initiated related with wheels and tyres textures as well as cockpits. Some tests have been done about Oil and Water temps, checking the relialibility of the cars. Also some finetuning is being done to the slip angle of the tyre model. These changes will be implemented as soon as the test are completed. THe AI has been done and works ok, though it has not been fully tested yet. The sounds had been completed some months ago, as well as the menus/teams screens, including the 1965 Drivers pictures. All these works could change before the final release since none of them is considered 100% finished yet.
GEM+2 is also showing great progress but Paul Thurston could explain with more details. All the BETA versions released as for now worked ok, though not everything that was planned has been implemented yet. I think that the next steps will be towards online racing.
There is another software in the making that has also been betatested with great results and that will be expanded soon with more online features, as well as outstanding security ones. I would call this thing the 'creature' though I guess it likes to be called XXX--CLASSIFIED INFORMATION--XXX ....... yet.
THe 1955 physics are working great though little progress has been made with other aspects of this mod because of the lack of time. ANyway, the 1955 mod will be released after the 'creature', GEM+2 and the 1965 mod are finished and released to the public which we hope will happen soon ..... very soon.
