We’ve never been that close to the launch and it is time for us to go even faster : may the red booster be with us! That’s the reason why we’re offering from August 17 onwards, until the launch of the game, the multiplayer beta to each one of you buying TrackMania² Canyon. It is a turning checkpoint for Ubisoft Nadeo as we will be opening doors to all of the players willing to jump into the 1st ManiaPlanet online title right away. For $24,99 / £19,99, you will be able to buy the game before the launch and install the multiplayer beta, which includes the map editor and the mediatracker (for videos editing). Upon release day, the beta version will be automatically updated to the finale and complete version of the game. It will be available on www.trackmania.com. VELOCIPEDE Posted August 14, 2011 Author Share Posted August 14, 2011 Ubisoft ha comunicato che TrackMania 2 sarà meno restrittivo del solito, ovvero non richiederà una connessione costante a Internet. Sarà ovviamente necessario collegarsi almeno una volta, durante l'installazione, per l'ormai usuale registrazione, ma successivamente sarà possibile giocare offline. La versione completa di TrackMania 2 è in uscita a metà settembre ma tra pochissimo dovrebbe iniziare la fase beta per chi acquista il gioco in anticipo. VELOCIPEDE Posted August 15, 2011 Author Share Posted August 15, 2011 Attraverso due post separati sul forum ufficiale della piattaforma ManiaPlanet, gli sviluppatori Nadeo hanno spiegato i motivi per cui TrackMania 2 non uscirà nei negozi, su supporto fisico, e nemmeno su Steam, se non in un futuro ancora da definire. Sul primo punto i motivi sono abbastanza ovvi: evitare le lungaggini e i costi della distribuzione fisica per raggiungere subito, e senza intoppi, i giocatori sparsi in tutto il mondo, tanto più che TrackMania 2 (e in particolare l'ambientazione Canyon) costituisce solo una piccola parte di quello che, auspicabilmente diventerà ManiaPlanet con l'uscita di ShootMania e QuestMania. Riguardo a Steam, potrebbe trattarsi solo di un'assenza temporanea. Nadeo vuole prima provare a lanciare la sua piattaforma, con profilo unificato per tutti i giochi, sistema di auto-aggiornamento e così via. Nel caso l'operazione non abbia il successo sperato, è facile che l'anno prossimo vedremo spuntare i titoli della serie ManiaPlanet anche su Steam. VELOCIPEDE Posted August 17, 2011 Author Share Posted August 17, 2011 Come promesso nei giorni scorsi, Nadeo e Ubisoft hanno lanciato TrackMania 2: Canyon in apertura di Gamescom tramite l'apposito sito ufficiale, dando a tutti la possibilità di acquistare in anticipo il gioco, al costo di 19,99 euro, e di scaricare subito la versione beta multiplayer che sarà costantemente aggiornata fino al giorno dell'uscita. Anche se il sito è in italiano vale la pena notare che le lingue supportate sono solo l'inglese, il francese e il tedesco. Come requisiti minimi troviamo una CPU a 1,5 GHz, 1 GB di RAM e una scheda con almeno 256 MB di memoria e supporto ai Pixel Shader 2.0; a quanto pare sono supportati anche i chipset grafici per laptop tipo Intel HD 2000 e nVidia Ion. VELOCIPEDE Posted August 27, 2011 Author Share Posted August 27, 2011 TrackMania 2 si mostra in un nuovo trailer dedicato alla fiera PAX in corso a Seattle, che riassume tutte le specifiche della prima ambientazione "Canyon". Nel video, con una raccolta di fasi giocate, si parla delle funzioni legate alla condivisione dei filmati sulla rete, di multiplayer e naturalmente di editor. TrackMania 2 è già in vendita in versione beta e quando sarà disponibile (a metà settembre) si riceverà gratis l'update per il gioco completo. VELOCIPEDE Posted August 30, 2011 Author Share Posted August 30, 2011 Nadeo ha rilasciato un nuovo trailer di Trackmania 2: Canyon, chiamato 'Educational', in cui si possono ammirare in azione le feature principali del titolo, ovvero la potenza dell'editor, la facilità con cui gli utenti potranno scambiarsi i contenuti e la bellezza della grafica. Nella descrizione ufficiale viene sottolineato come il filmato sia stato creato usando i tool messi a disposizione dal gioco, che saranno usabili da tutti gli utenti. VELOCIPEDE Posted September 14, 2011 Author Share Posted September 14, 2011 Ubisoft ha annunciato la disponibilità di Trackmania 2: Canyon, con il prezzo di 19.99 euro, sul sito ufficiale del gioco. La beta multiplayer del titolo ha visto partecipare giocatori di 83 paesi differenti e nelle 2 settimane di test sono stati creati ben 3.000 nuovi circuiti.
