Guest infernal
So.... ALL the work need to be done in the track editor? I think that have possibilities to convert rFactor format to 3Dmax, so a 3Dmax project can import to the track editor?
Gambero
non volevo di certo demoralizzarti! Ciao Andrea no no, nessuna demoralizzazione mi informo solo per capire cosa è necessario avere per costruire un tracciato per nK avere un unico programma free e dedicato (con tutti i tools utili) sarebbe stato perfetto spero cmq di lanciare qualche progetto con i miei skinners complimenti per il tuo sito grazie @Infernal: bear in mind to convert rF tracks only if you have all the relevant rights or starting from a track made by you Edited January 23, 2010 by Gambero
Guest infernal
Gambero, don't confuse, I don't want to stolen or copy any rFactor track, but BTB have the possibility to export to rFactor format, then convert to 3DS then Nkpro, I say that because I'm searching a way Kunos, I want to talk you about how we make the tracks in BTB. A spanish guy has devolped scripts that can: Import altitude data from Google Earth or other data base. Convert this data into BTB terrain surface, also import a KML (Google Earth route) in a BTB road, and give it some filters like maximum gradient, and other options. Intersect this road with the terrain and give to load in BTB the results are very good, not 100% exact but 80%. Some screen shots of the method. The route on Google Earth http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/4018/sils.jpg Altitude data from the google earth http://img682.imageshack.us/img682/8311/malla.jpg Mesh in gmsh http://img682.imageshack.us/img682/4525/gmsh.jpg Mesh with altitud in MeshLab http://img682.imageshack.us/img682/258/meshlab.jpg Loaded in BTB with only a default texture http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/2444/btb.jpg Is a powerful tool to take into account, the time to make this "base" track is about 2-4h of working Edited January 23, 2010 by infernal

Guest infernal
as far as I am aware of the author is not available to do more work on that software. Yes, I know that about Piddy, but what I ask you is a posibility to use one of the exports of the BTB to import in your track editor, to make easy the conversion Today I'm getting altitude data from Nurburgring, the green hell. And I'm exited how easy is. Also it is a hard work to put good textures, objects and details, but this part can be done in "any" editor, but the base that I'm talking if you try to do manually, can you take several months
