    Kart Racing Pro by Piboso release 2B disponibile

    Il buon Piboso ha rilasciato la nuova versione definitiva ed ufficiale, denominata "release 2", del suo Kart Racing Pro, simulatore di guida dedicato al mondo del karting. La nuova release 2, non più beta quindi, fra le tante novità, migliorie e fix, ci mette a disposizione il nuovo telaio di marchio MS Kart e lo spettacolare circuito belga di Genk, sul quale si è disputata recentemente la prima gara del campionato Europeo KZ/KZ2 !     - the bodywork format and folders structure has been changed, to split between front bumper, sidepods and rear bumper. The bodywork mods should be updated.
    Also, the seats and fuel tanks now have their own folders and dedicated texture.
    Overall, the changes unfortunately made all the old paints not compatible anymore.
    Also, the gfx.cfg file of the chassis mods should be updated to set the fuel tank and seat.

    Assetto Corsa: Formula Hybrid e Formula RSS 2 aggiornate

    Il modding team RaceSim Studio ha rilasciato un doppio aggiornamento per Assetto Corsa. Sono infatti disponibili per l'acquisto direttamente sullo shop del team la nuova versione 3.0 della monoposto Formula Hybrid 2017 (ovvero una versione di fantasia della moderna Formula 1 2017) e la release 2.0 della monoposto Formula RSS2 (ovvero una moderna Formula 2 di fantasia). Consigliamo a tutti gli appassionati il download perchè si tratta di mods ottimamente realizzati e con una fisica decisamente curata e dettagliata.

    American Truck Simulator 1.28 Open Beta

    La SCS Software ha appena rilasciato la nuova versione 1.28 open beta del suo apprezzatissimo American Truck Simulator, simulatore di guida dedicato al mondo dei camion e dei trasporti ambientato negli Stati Uniti.
    You may wonder about the game version number suddenly jumping to 1.28, as at the moment it was sitting at ver. 1.6. We have decided to unify versioning of ETS2 and ATS to simplify communication about game updates both internally and externally. The version number used to denote that ETS2 has been through 27 major updates, while ATS has been through 6 big revisions since the respective game's release. But we realized that this is not a crucial piece of information. It is more relevant and more important to provide the information that the updates, even if they appear at slightly different times, are based off the same core functionality upgrade; that the progress is in sync on both games. That's why we decided to only continue the numbering scheme established originally with the older Euro Truck Simulator 2 game, and stick to it even with American Truck. This way it will be clearer if and when both games reach a particular development milestone.

    rFactor 2: roadmap update Luglio 2017

    Il team Studio 397 ci aggiorna con il roadmap update di luglio sullo sviluppo in corso riguardo il suo rFactor 2. Come prima cosa, ci ricorda l'avvio del torneo Worlds Fastest Gamer in collaborazione con la McLaren, con gli eventi sul circuito di Silverstone, quindi viene confermata la nuova McLaren 650S GT3 con licenza ufficiale ed un corposo aggiornamento per il circuito di Zandvoort, non mancano migliorie alla grafica DirectX 11 ed alla UI, oltre che al modello fisico dei pneumatici. Il tutto condito da qualche screens inedito.
    As we’re counting down to the start of the McLaren World’s Fastest Gamer rFactor 2 competition, it is time for another roadmap update! We have so much underway at the moment in many areas, however, we are not quite ready to show it all.
    As we previously announced, McLaren’s World’s Fastest Gamer starts soon, and we are really excited that rFactor 2 was chosen as the flagship qualifying platform. This competition aligns with the overall competition structure that we are currently building, allowing tournament style events that extend all the way to a license progression system. Our competition platform will be unique in many ways: we will have our own structured competition and, in addition, support the community. We actively believe in the strength of our community to run outstanding events, both online and onsite. Specifically, APIs will be made available to allow sanctioned leagues/competitions to integrate with our overall structure, providing visibility and consistency. We are also developing our license structure based on an overall percentage rating and a system that penalizes drivers for off-track or bad driving by giving time penalties instead of relying on an independent safety rating.
    We have some even more exciting news: it’s no secret that we are releasing a McLaren GT car. And now, we are pleased to announce that it will be….drum roll please… the awesome McLaren 650s GT3!
    This McLaren will be used in the World’s Fastest Gamer competition and will be available for you all as a paid item in our upcoming item store at the start of August. We’re really excited to launch with this car, which was developed in close cooperation with McLaren. But that’s not all! This car will also be part of a soon-to-be-released wider pack, reaffirming our ambition to align our content! What a tease!
    Many of you saw our rendition of Zandvoort at the Max Verstappen days. Since then, we have optimised and further enhanced the track. Like the McLaren above, Zandvoort will be used in the World’s Fastest Gamer competition and will be released as a free addition. Check out some screens below!
    Additionally, we are working on some new significant track projects and will share more in the next couple of months.
    Ever since the beginning of the year, we’ve showed you the evolution of our DX11 graphics engine. Right now, we’re close to the point where we are happy enough with the visuals and performance of this engine to soon switch it to become the default. We will keep the DX9 engine around as an option for a little while longer, at least until we’ve rolled out the new overlays (see below). This also does not mean we are done developing the engine. We still have many bigger and smaller improvements to make it look better, and we will keep pushing those out in the upcoming months. At this point, we would also like to thank everybody who actively participated in our open beta. Your input was very helpful and allowed us to improve the whole engine, and VR mode, a lot quicker and better.
    Not only are we putting the final touches on our in-game user interface, as you have read above, we are also about to roll out the first parts of the new competition infrastructure, which will fit right in with the new UI. To show you some of the last details we are currently working on, we’ve captured two details of the UI, starting with the calibration screen for your wheel and pedals. As you know, you could always calibrate axes visually, but when specifying the ranges of motion and the deadzones, you had to physically move your wheel or pedal in the right position to set such a limit. Now we’ve included not only the exact numbers, but you can also directly edit them to fine tune them exactly the way you want without having to mess around with text files.

    A second detail we’d like to show is what we’ve done with the garage setup screens. There was already a way to compare, and we made that a bit smarter, but we also added a quick way for you to see what changes you made to the current setup compared with the one you saved last. In the shot, you see two gear ratios that have an orange font. Those are ratios you’ve changed. That way you can quickly get an overview. It’s little things like this we are still tweaking. We know it’s taking a bit longer than you, and we, anticipated, but the wait is almost over!

    One of the things we have been working on over the last few months is our tyre model. You may have noticed some changes in the latest version of the Radical, and you will also see them in the upcoming McLaren. These updates reflect our work on improving accurate tyre fidelity. We have a number of tyre updates underway, making one of the best tyre models in consumer racing simulation even better.
    We have been working hard to create a solution for overlays. As you know, we aren’t great fans of rendering over rFactor 2 screens as this can cause issues that become hard for us to resolve. We have built a solution using HTML. Shortly, we will be allowing 3rd parties to develop their own overlays, not just for broadcast, but for in-game HUDS through an API.
    For those of you who don’t know, this year’s Sim Expo will be held on the 16/17th September at Nurburgring – another great chance for all of sim racing to come together. We will be there, of course, showcasing some cool future features and content, so make sure you pop by!

    Ridiamo vita al mitico GTR 2 dei Simbin

    Mentre siamo ancora in attesa di notizie sul nuovo GTR 3 (ormai da marzo...), abbiamo pensato ad un tuffo nel passato per ridare nuova vita al mitico GTR 2, titolo dei Simbin uscito nel settembre 2006 che ora è possibile ancora acquistare tramite Steam a soli 5,99€.
    Per aggiornare GTR 2 in un colpo solo e nel miglior modo possibile, vi consigliamo di scaricare ed installare i seguenti mods:

    Le 4 McLaren "storiche" di F1 2017 Codemasters

    Dopo averci presentato Red Bull, Ferrari, Williams e Renault, la Codemasters ci mostra oggi ufficialmente le 4 monoposto McLaren "storiche" che saranno protagoniste nel prossimo F1 2017.
    We’ve been reading all your guesses about what the final few classic cars featured in F1™ 2017 might be, and today we’re very happy to be able to fill in those last gaps for you. We’ve also released a brand new trailer that showcases the four iconic McLarens (including three previously unannounced cars!), which you can watch just below

    “I don’t think you’d be able to get away without choosing 1988’s MP4/4 – it’s probably the most iconic F1 car of the last 40 years, a machine that looks as sleek and fast today as when it was first raced.     So, what are the final few classic cars of F1 2017? Read all about them below!
    1988 McLaren MP4/4 – as driven by Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna during the 1988 Formula 1™ season. The Honda-powered MP4/4 is one of the most iconic and dominant Formula One cars ever built, winning all but one race (15 out of 16) and claiming all but one pole position in the 1988 season. It was the car that powered Senna to his first world championship title.
    1991 McLaren MP4/6 – During the 1991 season, this was driven by the then reigning World Champion Ayrton Senna and Gerhard Berger, and was considered by some to be the most competitive car ever at the time, taking eight wins and ten pole positions, and scored 148 points, with Senna winning his third and final world championship title.
    1998 McLaren MP4-13 – In the 1998 F1™ season the MP4-13 was driven by Mika Häkkinen and David Coulthard and again proved to be the dominant car of the season, with Häkkinen winning his first Drivers’ Championship, and McLaren’s securing their first constructor’s title since 1991.
    2008 McLaren MP4-23 – the MP4-23 was driven by Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen in the 2008 season, and is notable for being the car in which Hamilton won his first World Drivers’ Championship in dramatic fashion at the Brazilian Grand Prix by overtaking Toyota’s Timo Glock on the final corner of the final lap of the final grand prix of the season, to claim the required 5th-place finish and win the Drivers’ title by a single point from Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, and become at the time the youngest driver ever to win the title.

    Scopriamo il simulatore Chevrolet

    Grazie ad un articolo pubblicato dal mensile Racer, scopriamo il simulatore professionale della Chevrolet, situato a Huntersville, in North Carolina (USA), utilizzato per la simulazione delle vetture Nascar.
    The simulator itself is the cockpit of a race car. Drivers climb in like they would a car, strap in with the same seat belts, look at the same digital dash, and use a standard steering wheel. The shifting mechanism even came from Hendrick Motorsports. Once inside, the top comes down completing the car look with the roof, windshield cut out, and driver's side window complete with window net.
