This How-To will hopefully help you sort out all those nasty .net troubles that may prevent netKar Pro from starting.

  • Point your browser here and download the .Net Framework Cleanup Tool.
  • Run it and clean up all of the various versions of the .Net Framework.
  • Reboot the machine (don't worry about weird errors that might be popping up at this stage)
  • Download .Net Framework v1.1 SP1. Install it. Reboot.
  • Download .NET Compact Framework v2.0 SP1. Install and reboot.
  • Download .NET Framework v3.5. Install and reboot.

Rebooting after every single framework install may not be necessary, but then if it still doesn't work you'll have to go through it all over again and reboot every single time before you get the right to complain.

If you spot any mistake (links not working, not the latest version, etc) please leave a comment in this thread.

it looks like a visual c++ runtime missing. in the netKar PRO folder there is a folder called "Runtime" containing a vc_redist exe to install the c++ runtime.

64 bit might be your problem. A 64bit operating system really isn't for gaming.

This is definitely not true, as Win 7 64 bit works like a charm with every game for example, the same for Vista 64. Windows Server might be the problem, not the fact that it is a 64 bit OS.

about big PING, works that idea?

Where are you connecting from? For example European users receive a high ping warning on Brazilian servers, there's nothing you can do about it.

another thing that increase ping is a wi-fi connection or if you use a p2p program or something that use a lot of bandwith, you will suffer high pings problems and lags..... btw ping problems usually depends on your connection and on oyur internet provider and is not a game fault!! ;)
