VELOCIPEDE
Join the legendary Dakar by creating a virtual rally account and compete against thousands of competitors from the summet of the Andes to the Atacama desert. Non-stop racing, simplified gameplay, new game strategies: enjoy the innovations for the 2012 edition. A few weeks ago we saw the Dakar prologue take place. It was a test race lasting four days, involving several thousand registered in order to test the latest innovations of the game and identify possible bugs. The Dakar last year was somewhat weighed down by the bugs was disappointing in many ways, unlike the 4L Trophy that followed which in turn was technically great. The race around Lake Titicaca and Iquique did not give a great idea of the final version of the Dakar 2012. However, The purpose of a rally test was to identify and eliminate bugs, and it certainly was successful in identifying bugs, especially the one that halted a group of competitors early in the second step. Overall the experience was positive because it means the same incidents will not occur come January 2 this year. Before we leave you alone for the end of 2011, I would like conclude with a word about the rally which starts next Monday. The main change is that it will be a continuous rally, as the Trophée Roses des Sables 2010. In practice this means that the race will last 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so it’s a non-stop race. There will be bonus areas in the course where you can drive to in order to gain energy packs and avoid running out. The goal is simply to finish in the least time possible, going through mandatory checkpoints located on the course. Here’s a little clarification for beginners: The check point (CP) is presented as a dotted circle. To validate it, it is not necessary to go to the center of the circle, you just have to go inside. This will save you valuable miles and time. I have seen many players curse at previous rallies after going further than they had to. http://www.virtualrallygame.com/
