VELOCIPEDE Posted November 24, 2013 Author Share Posted November 24, 2013 This Week Inside Sim Racing - Week of November 23rdThere is no doubt that the biggest story in sim racing this week is the launch of the Xbox One and Forza Motorsports 5. It has been 8 years since the last Microsoft console release and a new driving sim to go with it makes it that much better. In this show we are literally waiting on our Xbox to play the copy of Forza that we have in hand. We are spending this show getting ready for and prepping our rig for some driving. We also talk about the Thrustmaster TX Racing wheel and some of the tricks that you will need to know when plugging it into the Xbox One. We also cover the first patch to Assetto Corsa including new cars and tracks to the young sim. In addition we also talk about a great forum thread at our site where people are picking their 10 best racing games of all time. Well its actually a motion sim for your head to train your neck muscles and its made by Frex for real racers. But,this week show is all about out trip to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. NASCAR honored the series Champions with a special event at the Hall of Fame. There was an autograph session followed by some sim racing by the NASCAR Champions. We also got to do some sim racing with that group and watch them go head to head on the Hall of Fame simulators. Then Darin got a chance to talk with Tyler Hudson, this years iRacing NASCAR Champion and talk about his setup and his experiences.
