Collision stutter bug fix v1_1 by matt2380.zip

There are several different causes of stutter in NFS Shift, each requiring different solutions.

This zip contains multiple versions of a fix specifically for the collision stutter bug that occurs between the player car and cones/tyres/walls/opponents, and also the opponent cars and cones/tyres/walls/opponents. Versions include:

1 - default settings

For backup restoration and testing purposes

2 - zero player damage, zero AI damage, default panel removal

For complete removal of all visible collision damage on both the player car and opponents. This is the only method I can provide to ensure 100% removal of collision stutter. if you use this version and still get stutter it must be caused by something else.

3 - zero player damage, zero AI damage, increased panel removal

Also completely removes all visible collision damage and 100% of collision stutter, but increases likelihood of car panels breaking free of the cars. It increases a feeling of realism when the panels, eg, rear bumper, can be knocked off after multiple heavy collisions. This effect is much milder than my previous attempt, now if often takes several laps and several big collisions for panels to detach.

4 - modded player damage, zero AI damage, default panel removal

Player car damage is still functional, but with modifications that remove stutter. In some aspects, player car damage is actually increased, such as increased glass shattering (but more moderately than a previous version). Opponent car damage is removed completely to prevent collision stutter from AI collisions.

5 - modded player damage, zero AI damage, increased panel removal

Same as version 4 , but increases likelihood of car panels breaking free of the cars, to reduce impression of invulnerable opponents.

6 - modded player damage, modded AI damage, default panel removal

Same as version 4, but with some opponent car damage in heavy collisions. The vast majority of AI collisions will be stutter free and only the big crashes (that often include player and AI) will show damage (and stutter is often hidden by player camera shake).

7 - modded player damage, modded AI damage, increased panel removal

Same as version 6, but increases likelihood of car panels breaking free of the cars, to reduce impression of invulnerable opponents.
