With Volume 1 Issue 4 of Sim Racer Magazine available for purchase at the end of this week, I thought I’d drop in and give you a little sneak preview of whats to expect from this issue!

Having spent the last month or two getting to grips with Assetto Corsa’s Dream Pack #1, Dominic; our racing guy has got a full game review over 5 pages. Without giving too much away, things are looking promising for Assetto Corsa, and it should act as the perfect gateway into the wide world of simulation racing.

Over the past year or so, gaming technology has began to advance at a rapid state, and simulation racing is gaining a huge amount from this tech. We had the chance to get hands on with a range of new technology including the Oculus Rift, some motion simulator rigs and some of the best in graphics cards and games to see how these things will effect the future of simulation racing. We’re certainly on the dawn of something special here.

For those of you who’re into building PCs, this month we have two builds to share with you. Firstly we have the continuation of our Mini ITX build, with the aim to create a powerful PC in a small shell. Then we also take a look at a range of product from XFX, and finally get round to giving the boss’s PC the facelift it needed.

We also have a range of other stuff in store, including a developers interview with GameStockCar, a brilliant Track Guide from the guys at Simraceway, an in-depth look at some of the best gaming headsets on the market as well as the very first Sim Racer Awards.

These awards are looking at a range of different categories, including best sim, best car and a range of other questions. You will be able to vote via email, our website or via Facebook. However, those of you who enter via our website will be entered into a prize draw to win something. What we’re giving away we’re not quite sure yet, but no doubt it’ll be something worth 5 minutes of your time!

If you would like to purchase the latest issue, please head to our website -www.simracer-mag.com.
